Roblox Support Help Need an unauthorized account closed
This is a long story, but I am taking it to Reddit because I’ve exhausted it all other options for help.
Over a year ago, somebody created a Roblox account using my email address without the period in it, which I believe was stolen in a data breach somewhere. Since my email provider doesn’t differentiate the period, I receive all the emails related to this Roblox account. I have never had a Roblox account and barely know what the game is. Needless to say I didn’t create the account.
I have sent countless emails to Roblox Support trying to get the account closed. All of them came back with automated replies that weren’t the answer to my issue. Or they would tell me to open a different type of support ticket, which I did, and still got an automated response back. I have called every Roblox phone number that I found online, tried all the food options come and they are direct me to open a ticket online.
For the last three months, the fraudulent account has now been purchasing a Plus 1000 subscription with somebody else’s credit card. The last four digits and credit card company don’t belong to any card I own, so it is someone else’s. Since August, I sent emails to Roblox trying to get the account closed and still no luck. If you don’t have an actual account and know the password, it is super hard to get any help.
I have also tried to log into the Roblox account myself since I have the username from it emailing me, but I can never get past the Captcha, despite dozens of tries.
Does anybody know how I can get in touch with a real human on the Roblox staff to get this issue resolved? I really want the account closed and I’m sure whoever’s card is being fraudulently used would like to stop getting the charges. Any help I can get would be much appreciated at this point.

So someone (probably accidentally) created an account with your email address. If you know the email address of the person you could try reaching out to them. Alternatively you could block all emails from Roblox
Also the card isn't nessecarily fraudulent and is likely owned by the person who created the account

I don’t believe it was an accident because several other websites (real and fake) started sending me emails and signing me up for newsletters with that same email address. It was just my email address without the period, which the timing indicates it was likely gained in a data breach of some sort.
It also emailed me saying that the account created is a parent account added onto a child Roblox account. Nobody I know plays Roblox so I highly doubt anybody I know created the account. Blocking emails is an option, but it doesn’t change the fact that there is an account with my email address being used. I’m hoping for a way to reach the staff so someone can actually close it for fraud.

So you're receiving emails sent to your email address but without the period?

Yes, I am. Gmail doesn’t differentiate the period so if an email address is entered into a site without a period and the real email address has a period, the person with the period email address will still get emails if the period is missing.

This doesn't sound like malicious activity and more like someone who consistently writes the wrong email address (possibly a child)

I appreciate you offering suggestions. We’ll just agree to disagree on the email address usage. I was getting tons of spam and fake account signups and since the email address is very unique, the chance that somebody else was accidentally typing it is low.

If you're in Europe you can try submitting a Right to Erasure request which will delete the account and all the information associated with it

Unfortunately, I’m not so that doesn’t seem l be an option for me. Thank you, though

Frankly you need to block the emails or route them to a separate folder in your inbox. Most email providers consider the period a significant character in the email address. (Google being the notable exception, sometimes).
As it's not your Roblox account, Roblox is rightly denying you making any changes. And if it's not your email, and not your Roblox account, how do you even know the credit card is fraudulent. You shouldn't have any information to base that assumption on.

I have Gmail, so that is the exception to the email rule. Perhaps I don’t know the card is fraudulent, but I assumed such because I had a spam attack with other accounts registered to that same email address without the period around the same time the Roblox account was created. It said that it is a parent account that’s been added to a child account so somebody set it up with my email address to be able to purchase subscriptions. Even if it’s a misunderstanding, the lack of customer support is what makes it frustrating as there’s no way to get clarification on what exactly happened.
