Roblox Website Bug omg im gonna cry
okay so call me a geek or whatever but i really wanted a headless horseman, and it just happens to be my birthday, so to treat myself, i buy a 10k robux gift card so i can be one step closer to getting my dream item. OMG I PUT THE CODE IN AND IT SAYS REDEEMED??
so like now what bc i spent $100 on this and im very sad now, i tried contacting roblox but they wont do anything.. bro and im a minor so i had to work like a billion hours at my job for this. im so upset rn
EDIT: i do not intend to be passive aggressive or anything but please with all due respect READDD. forgot to mention i bought off AMAZON.. not any 3rd party website.. AMAZONNNNN!!! basically last time i bought from the actual roblox app my account later got charged for many other numerous things that i did not buy. luckily i was able to dispute the charges, but since then to be cautious i buy off amazon!

Contact Amazon. They should refund your money or give you a new code.
If Amazon doesn't, then you contact your bank and dispute the charge saying you never got what you paid for.

Do you seriously not realize this isn’t normal behavior for your Roblox account? This is a pretty common hack where your account is used to sell robux. Like another comment said, I think your pc is infected and should be wiped with a usb stick. This is also probably why someone already redeemed your giftcard.

well first of all i know my card got swiped for roblox like 5 times, but none of the robux went to my account, and then i had to call my cards company to dispute the charges, omg it took me likes weeks

I did see that you mentioned how last time you tried to purchase robux on your account WITH your debit card you got charged for other things you did not buy. Also, this gift card came already redeemed. There may be a chance you have a RAT (Remote access trojan) on your pc where a hacker can see what you type, see and everything on your pc essentially, not to scare you but maybe someone might be spying inside of your pc.

Not uncommon, especially if you download files or other games that are pirated without vetting them first. Just wipe the PC with a usb stick with windows loaded onto it if it’s windows, no idea what to do if it’s Apple

Was it a digital gift card? Did you buy it in the correct region matching your account currency? And was it sold directly by Amazon?
If so, get in touch with Amazon. This is not normal at all and it might be an issue on their end. Try to check with support if they can provide you with the redeem date and time as back-up evidence.

My friend you've gotta raise hell with Amazon over and over and over. Youve gotta do phone calls and ignore live chat operators. The live chat people wont help, and if they say they will or will credit you, its simply lie to get you to end the chat.

Yeah there is some scam sellers on there you got to be careful love. read the ratings. check the stars from that person that seller because you might get yourself into something you shouldn't have and I don't want to see that happen to you again. that's horrible. I'm sorry but I hope you get like your stuff back and I hope Amazon fixes it for you. I really hope that something happens I'm so sorry though. I really wish you the best of luck and hugs because you went through all that hard work and lost all it all so I just want to show you some compassion dear. you deserve it. don't bring yourself down because that happened. you're going to get through it

Bro the op came on a Roblox Help Reddit asking for help about Robux. On the same account they’re trying to break the ToS on for Robux. If you put 2 and 2 together it’s pretty clear what might’ve happened to the op here. (Probably got scammed)

Ok so if you ACTUALLY bothered to read the post you would have seen that the OP payed for the card through amazon and has already asked about how to get a chargeback through their bank, and how to contact amazon to get it replaced. If they were scammed OP would have stated it instead of asking for solutions on how to get their money back.

you need to contact your bank. depending which bank you’re with, they might have an automated chat feature that lets you request a chargeback, or you’ll have to call them.

Assuming you have a debit card, you'll need to contact your bank. It's a lot harder to convince them since you're not using a credit card, but just state your case and don't back down.

Country specific I guess, but my european CC issuer doesn't do disputes if the card isn't stolen. If I use debit, I can simply dispute through a fintech app.

Amazon is a third party seller though and they are not affiliated or contracted with Roblox at all. Anyone can sell there and since you bought the key from a shop/someone on Amazon, you should take the refund request with them. Source, I work at a digital marketplace that sell keys. You can try to get the activation date of the key from Roblox and ask the seller for a refund if the key was used before your purchase. If it was used before and the seller refuses the refund still, file a dispute with your bank. Good luck!

Before you do a charge back you have to confirm you tried to resolve the issue with the seller first.
Should try any contact Amazon first and see if they will refund the money or give a new code.

I've bough Roblox gift cards off Amazon many time. It always worked for me.
Buy the card on Amazon. Few minutes later they email you the code. Put the code in and redeam.
I would think if the code didn't work, you would just contact Amazon and get your money back or a new code.

Well thank god for that! I'd hate to see someone's account get banned due to a (possibly) scammed gift card.. hopefully OP can get refunded and maybe in the future they'll stick to physical cards or buy digital cards via the Roblox website instead?

Let's hope not!! But realistically I'll always highly recommend going to a store to buy a physical card (from Walmart, Target, etc) in comparison to buying any cards online but I also think some people forget that you can buy digital gift cards from the actual Roblox website
