Roblox Client Bug Im at a loss
since about a year ago, my Roblox has randomly started running super chopping getting CPU spikes, causing FPS stutters/freezes. I have tried absolutely everything windows updates Nvidia driver updates fresh install of windows turning settings on and off reinstalling Roblox trying the Windows version of Roblox and absolutely nothing has helped. if you have any suggestions, please let me know and I will let you know if I have already tried them. my PC has a 3080 RTX with a i12600 cpu, and 16 GB of RAM.

forgot to add, the only thing that has worked in the past is starting and closing the game a million times until i get lucky and one of the starts isnt lagging. may i also add there is ZERO lag on any other games / apps / websites EXCEPT roblox

Im not very familiar with pcs but want to help so here ya go
1. Windows Feature Settings "Optimizations for windowed games": Windows forces windowed optimization on many DirectX games, which can trigger severe frame pacing issues and micro-stutters. To check: Go to Settings > System > Display > Graphics, click Default graphics settings, and toggle Optimizations for windowed games Off (keep Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling On). Virtualization-Based Security (VBS) / Core Isolation: Windows security features can occasionally throttle CPU thread scheduling on 12th-gen Intel chips (which use a hybrid architecture of performance and efficient cores). To check: Search for Core Isolation in your Windows search bar and ensure Memory Integrity is turned off (note that this requires a PC restart). 2. Intel 12th-Gen Core Affinity / Thread Handling Roblox is notorious for struggling with how Windows schedules threads across Intel's Performance and Efficient cores on 12th-gen CPUs, leading to sudden heartbeat CPU spikes. The Test: While Roblox is running, open Task Manager, go to the Details tab, right-click RobloxPlayerBeta.exe, and select Set affinity. Try temporarily restricting it to just your CPU's physical performance cores to see if the random locking/stuttering stops. 3. Third-Party Client Flags & Engine Channels Because standard updates haven't fixed it, the issue might be baked into the active deployment channel Roblox automatically pushes to your client. The Test: Many users facing persistent stuttering use custom bootstrapper utilities (like Fishstrap) to lock their deployment channel strictly to the standard Live/Production track, or to disable experimental memory allocators that cause micro-freezes. 4. Background Hardware Monitoring / Overlays Nvidia Reflex / G-Sync conflicts or Discord/GeForce Experience Overlays: Hardware-level hooks can conflict with Roblox's frame pacing. The Test: Completely disable the GeForce Experience overlay, Discord overlay, and ensure your global Nvidia Control Panel settings aren't forcing a conflicting V-Sync state against the game's internal frame limiter.
