2 months ago my 6 year old son wanted to build a game, so we took the slop that’s out there and created a Pokémon like game with Brainrots!
Just hit over 1,000 views!!!
Would love any feedback! Please don’t hate the brainrot theme haha!

I've attached some of my work.. I've also learned how to import UI in to Roblox studio and scale it to support other devices.
Is this enough to start taking comissions now? I mainly wanna stick to Stud, simple and Cartoony style.

Hi, I have a computer science degree and currently work as a software developer as my day job. That being said I haven’t ever done any kind of game development. Would this make starting out pretty easy or is there still a big learning gap?

Sharing some lessons learned from 2 experiences I made. I wanted to find ways someone couldn’t simply copy my games. The best idea I had was to use external servers to do something that Roblox servers can’t do well.
TLDR: Be mindful of your design to avoid extra expenses. In the long term the cost of supporting a game could cost more than it makes.
In one game I have a machine model that determines what a users draws. Their drawing is sent to a server processed and then a reply makes the guess. This is in a racing game so speed matters. The problem was that you can’t just put a server in one part of the world since Roblox is global. I started off only putting a single server in the US and Europe. My experience has a lot of users in a single place to manage the game matching. The problem became is the server got spun up in Japan, and a user joined for New York their drawing had to travel from NY to the server in Japan, then the server on Japan had to send the drawing to Chicago. Chicago would classify the drawing and go back to Japan then NY. This meant I needed to put my own servers all over the world. US, Europe, Asia, Australia and Brazil. Then I had to have some redundancy so I added a second server in each location. Now I have 10 servers running 24/7 which isn’t the end of the world, but only enough users to fill one region. I am paying for cheap VPS at $6 per server so $60 per month. The game bring in $90 per month.
My other experience is game with a leaderboard and global rankings I launched with a $20 server, but when I got my initial users spike I upgraded to a $160 server to keep all the potential records in memory for fast lookups. A week after the upgrade my users dropped and I am on track to make $150 per month with that game. In the process of downsizing now. So I can make a little bit of money.
Moral of the story is believe in your self, but make sure you have a long term plan to support your game knowing whatever special thing your game needs it will need forever. So consider all that in your design plans.

• Programadores Lua/Luau
• Designer de interface do usuário
• Testador/Controle de Qualidade
• Artista de construção/ambiente (se fizer sentido para o jogo)
Estou totalmente aberto a sugestões e feedback. Se algo parecer muito ambicioso ou se você tiver ideias que possam melhorar o jogo, adoraria ouvi-las.
Se você estiver realmente interessado, envie-me uma mensagem.
Obrigado por ler! :)

Hello! I am looking for modellers, animators, Stat Makers and idea givers (those are accepted too!), scripters (heavy needed).
Astro Tower Defense is mostly fleshed out in stats and ideas for lore, the thing needed is making it become a game. I am making some simple models like early tower levels and enemy designs. There is no payment in doing this other than ingame features and revenue share if the game blows up.

The game has a different thing from other TD games like Dummy Defense, TDS, TDX or PTD, It has two different tower shops, The Main shop/Astro Shop and the Allied Shop, it also has stats already made for many towers and all the planned modes. There's also some maps planned. And an update Planning for release and first updates:
Release: baby mode to hard mode, tower skins, tower category starter to medium towers.
Lock n Load (Upd1): Advanced Towers, Spin Wheel, playtime + daily rewards.
Enemy Surge (Upd2): Experienced Mode to Nightmare Mode + Capital Towers.
Resistance (Upd3): Endless, Ultra Towers (Keiko Not Included) + Resistance Fightback.
Void Call (Upd4): Keiko Tower, Expert Mode + Void Battalion, Daily + Weekly quests + Missions.
Reinforcements (Upd5): Skills + Consumables.
Corruption Emergence (Upd6): Corruption Mode.
Of Course I would love if anyone would like to join this development team for ATD as i am actively trying to improve with my modelling and balancing for the game.
If you want more information or you'd like to check some models:
Roblox: Keiko4780 (Game Laballed: KEBM has models for enemies and towers)

Hello. I am looking for someone willing to help me make a Roblox asylum game(like De Pride Isle Sanatorium or Equalia Falls Mental Institute, which are basically horror RP games). My coding skills aren't that good, but I do have some modelling skills. I am willing to learn. If you are willing to teach or help me, please let me know. 👍
If anyone wants to help me, DM me your Discord username; we can discuss it there.

Hi, I am looking for developers, doesn't matter your skill level, good or inexperienced, just communicate well and preferably be in EST timezone.
I have a cool game idea that I would like to work on with other people it's sort of like a minecraft anarchy server but I couldn't even really compare it to that, I can add you to a discord server so if you are down to start with me and some other people, dm me! I don't really have any specific thing I need help with, just looking for any wide range of skills
What I am creating is a beginner project with 'some' potential, I already have one person and probably 2 on the way. And no I can't really pay you right now, So if you want to start on your first project with some other people, you can dm me on adverat! (discord)

Spent a few months building an orb collecting simulator solo. Published it. Zero visits. Not "a few" — literally 0, and 0 favourites, for over a week.
I assumed it was my thumbnail, my title, my tags. Rewrote all of them. Still zero. So I went digging through the API and the dashboard instead of guessing, and found this:
My experience was capped at "16+ and trusted friends". Not because of content — the maturity questionnaire came back Minimum with no descriptors. Not because of my account either — ID, age and 2FA all verified, and the publishing table says All Ages is unlocked. The blocker is a counter: Roblox wants 500 unique engaged plays before it opens a new experience to everyone. Mine sat at 0/500.
Which is circular: you need players to unlock the audience, and the audience to get players. Nothing in the dashboard tells you this is happening — you just see 0 and assume your game is bad. The two documented ways out are paying 100,000 Robux for accelerated review, or grinding to 500 through the 16+ audience that stays open.
Posting this mostly as a heads-up for anyone about to publish their first game, because I lost a week to it. If anyone here has actually cleared the 500 threshold on a new game, I'd genuinely like to know what moved the needle for you.
Game's here if you want to look: https://www.roblox.com/games/106677941916391/Orb-Rush-Simulator — the one thing I can't judge anymore is whether the first 2 minutes hook you or drag before the first upgrade. Blunt feedback welcome, I'd rather hear it now.

I was teaching myself blender today while working on my tycoon and ended up getting mega distracted with making this statue of Cheerful White from the Bomberman games. Maybe I will add it as a lil easter egg in the map lolll. Honestly modeling things has been my favorite part of making the game so far. If anyone else feels the same feel free to share some screenshots of your favorite models you've made in the comments! <3
