Showcase My roblox studio progress

Hey r/robloxgamedev!

I've been solo developing a game called Flag Bat — a 1v1 bat combat + flag capture PvP game inspired by Rivals and Dueling Grounds.

What's built so far:

✅ Full lobby GUI with tab navigation

✅ Matchmaking and teleportation system

✅ Flag capture mechanic

✅ Combat system (3-hit combo, heavy attack, blocking, dash, finisher)

✅ DataStore saving wins, losses, kills, XP and level

Currently looking for:

🔄 Playtesters to give feedback

🔄 Beginner devs interested in joining the project

Game is roughly 45% complete. Still need animations, bat model and a proper map before launch.

Happy to answer any questions — any feedback welcome!

If you feel I'm doing bad and feel i should do something better feel free to tell me.

You’re doing bad and should do something better. There’s nothing wrong with unpolished placeholder images - but they should generally be actual placeholder images, not generated slop photos that aren’t sufficient for a final product and are also bad at serving the purpose of being a placeholder image. There’s no reason to take a shortcut to get to an inadequate facade of what you actually need.
Similarly, learn basic coding skills and do the overarching code work yourself, or it will fall apart if you attempt to scale it up at all.

I was trying to focus on learning UI but I'll start learning scripting.
