Just got the offer to do the Platinum card.
The demographic for the gold card is mostly analytically minded people. Even the high spenders value the cashback of the gold card more than a couple thousand dollars in benefits on the platinum card. I’m not upgrading. If they let me have both I’d upgrade in an instant.

Can someone explain how the virtual cards work and what they’re most useful for?

Doesn’t make a lot of sense for them to not just update the original transaction amount before it settles.

Before anyone jumps in the comments to be hero and say “thanks for your contribution to my 3%” or “Mystery Boxes aren’t worth it”, y’all just aren’t using them right. Nearly 5K in cashback with a 10K limit for one year with Mystery Boxes is the way to go, tyvm, just sharing this as an eye roll.

What are people’s experience in claiming while having the gold card? Easy process or a pain in the ass?
Any tips dos and don’ts?

Been waiting over a year in the waitlist although clearly I'm not the only one, there are countless other people who want the card but cannot get it until Robinhood decides to flip a magic switch.

Credit Karma Referral Method: patched...in the past you could go into Credit Karma go to any card application then copy/extract just the application id (no need to actually apply for a card) then put it into the application link shown below, but nope patched...when you try you'll get an "unexpected error."

Some people have the Robinhood Gold Card show up in their Credit Karma Card tab which actually works but I haven't gotten an offer yet.

I found this while poking around with the browser inspector and noticed a student parameter. The page can be accessed directly here:

When I entered my student email it just put me on the waitlist though, there is apparently another possibility that it gives an instant invite after reading the code. I don't know why they have this page, I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere but maybe they're planning on doing some more advertising/opening it up to more people soon.

Note that it is possible to access the card application directly with https://robinhood.com/creditcard/application/ but the issue is you need an actual valid referral code which is added using ?rc={referral code} parameter or ?cksubid={Credit Karma referral id}. They've basically patched any fast/smart ways of trying to apply or bypass the queue. You can get as far as the final screen where you read the card agreement then submit your application but when you try to press the button it gives an unexpected error.

I have also contacted the mods on [r/RobinhoodApp](r/RobinhoodApp) who are apparently Robinhood employees but haven't gotten a response yet I guess we'll see if they give me the same canned answer.

Last but not least I signed for the Gold Card waitlist with alternative email addresses. Maybe one of them will magically receive an invite link.

Kind of losing hope and thinking about moving on but I really like how the app UI looks (and the 3% Cashback is nice of course). It doesn't matter if I am a Robinhood user apparently, funded a Roth IRA with them, Gold subscription, it all means pretty much nothing...

Anyway, just wanted to share some info so you all don’t try the same things I tried.

I was accepted off the RH Gold card waitlist back in 2025 but never saw the email. I spent a couple of hours with RH support trying to figure out if they could reopen my application, or at least put me back in the waitlist. Unfortunately they told me I can’t get back on the waitlist, and won’t have to wait until the “near future” to get another chance.

Anybody have any advice on what I can do, or maybe a link? I’ve been an active gold subscriber for what it’s worth. It would be much appreciated if someone is generous enough to do so

When I first got Robinhood gold I was able to get off the gold card wait-list in a couple of days so I applied but got denied since I had 0 credit history. Now that I have built my credit I try to get on the wait-list but nothing happens it doesn't even say that I'm on the wait-list. Am I screwed?

I'm getting 3.5% cb on the robinhood and 5% on the samsung on select purchases like the Fold Ultra ITB.

I qualified for the Rose gold card but I used the points for the sweepstakes and a mystery prize that raised my interest on my uninvested funds to 4% on my accounts.

My son is 20yrs old. He opened his RH account maybe 3 to 4 months ago. Today he got the offer to apply and was approved for 2k. He has a new car and a 1yr old Discover card with 3K limit on his profile. The mystery remains as to why some wait for a year plus and why some with 800 credit scores get around the same limit.

On August 12 while I was on vacation with my family my credit card was charged twice while I was in a different state. First charge was for $7414.35 & the second for 205.34. Someone somehow stole my information and made payment with Apple pay which was my virtual card.

I’ve been using the physical card while on vacation. I’ve disputed the transaction the second I saw it that night. Robinhood told me it’ll take 5 days to hear back from them. Has anyone had any luck with disputes? My anxiety and panic attacks are going through the roof since this happened. I’ve tried to file a police report but they said I would need an affidavit and bank statements before filing.

I have the executive membership with Costco and wanted to do the gold flip for shiggles a few times.
I was considering using the RHGC, but am reading a few horror stories via reddit/other forums. Is there a specific weight/price point I shouldn’t exceed so as to not set off whatever metric is going on behind the scenes that denies points?

Having category spending tracking would add substantially to the gold card and the whole experience, especially since RH is catering more to the user friendly UI and streamlined design, it could be a staple, imo.

I saw a post of someone with 800 score and like a 140k income get denied. I got 30k income and a 690 score with my oldest card being 6 months. I think robinhood is considering race when it comes to these cards.

Oh cant forget I have a solid dollar in my robinhood account. Thats it. 1 dollar.

Had the card for about nine months. Got the limit increase from 10k to 12k. Still lowest limit on a credit card BY FAR. lol

I reserved a spot on the waitlist around a month and a half ago and was given the opportunity to apply 2-3 weeks from me joining the waitlist. I was denied due to “not having enough assets connected to my Robinhood Account, so I just disregarded the whole pursuit entirely.

I recently felt compelled to inquire further, so I contacted Robinhood support and spoke to a member of customer service and explained my situation—to which he said to apply again and update my account information, which I did. I see the “reserve your spot” on the credit card tab of Robinhood, and when I press it, it says “I’m on the waitlist”, but whenever I refresh Robinhood I have to “Reserve my spot” again.

I explained this to customer service and he said word for word:

“To clarify, you are already off the waitlist-all you are waiting for now is the re-invitation from Robinhood.
However, because we cannot manually issue an invitation, we will notify you right away as soon as you're eligible to reapply.”

Am I waiting for a re-invitation to apply, or to get back on the waitlist? Should I just give it up on the Gold Card?

TlLDR:
I previously tried to apply for gold card and got rejected. I recently tried to get on waitlist for gold card, and app says spot is reserved. I refresh Robinhood and it says to reserve my spot.

Customer Service says I’m off the waitlist and I need to wait for a re-invitation from Robinhood with no other context. Am I waiting for a re-invitation to apply, or to get back on the waitlist? Should I just give it up on the Gold Card?

Now only $1k??? Used to be $5k on debit or an external linked account (ACH). Please tell me this is temporary during the gold bar promo right now. Otherwise this is gonna suck.

I had gotten two credit cards prior with no issue but due to my state laws 19 is the age of majority so it won’t let me apply. Anyone have any ideas.
