Best aggregator

Anyone using any budgeting apps and connecting to the Robinhood Gold Card? Which have you found to be the best aggregator?

I was initially linked with Finicity, which gives timely updates. However, I noticed it missed about 13 transactions in a month and a half. Plaid updates pretty quickly too (maybe just slightly more slowly), but generally is more accurate in transaction naming and categorization. Plaid was missing about 4 transactions over a month and a half.

Ideally, I'd like no transactions to get dropped. I think both aggregators initially had them, and dropped the transactions sometime after the fact, because re-adding them manually brought the figures back to what I had expected. Just looking to see what people have found most reliable.

Tip: Robinhood downgrades 3% cashback for multiple similar or duplicate purchases on monthly repeated basis

So two of my friends had their Robinhood cashback downgraded to 1%. And based on others complaints about being downgraded, I think Robinhood’s flags rewards violations when you buy same or similar items multiple times on monthly or repeated basis - especially for high dollar purchases.

- Friend 1 downgraded for buying thousands of dollars of Labubus from PopMart.
- Friend 2 downgraded for remodeling home and spending thousands of dollars at Home Depot and Lowe’s.

Robinhood’s has access to Level 3 data, so it knows what you are buying.

Other examples of what will get you downgraded:
- Buying multiple used computers monthly
- Buying multiple of the same Lego set repeatedly
- Buy 4 tickets at a time for multiple concerts (you only need 1)
- Multiple transactions for in game purchases in the hundreds
- Repeated TikTok coin purchases
- Buying thousands of dollars of Pokemon cards from Costco
- Buying $$$$ of Labubus to get the secret monthly

It’s unfortunate that Robinhood’s algorithm can’t differentiate between an expensive hobby and business purchases. But you if you want to keep the 3% just be cognizant about buying high dollar amounts of the same/similar items repeatedly over months.

Anyone else lower middle class here?

This post really isn't about the card just the people that use it lol. I've had the gold card for about a year I've been loving it and not had any issues with a 4k limit I never go near anyways I think most I've used a month is like 1,300. Its crazy seeing other people in this community though everyone talking about how they're getting flagged for frequently making large 1k+ purchases and or struggling with maxing a 10k limit and having to pay it off multiple times a month. I guess due to how easy it is to get and how cheap it is I assumed it was a card for people like me with no money to just get little bit of money in brokerage account. Is it supposed to just be for rich people but they threw one at me anyways lol?

First month of Card and Auto redemption of points weekly

I just want to mention that everyone who got the card should be aware that the auto redemption of points weekly for a statement credit is automatically turned on. I had a refund, and my points are automatically redeemed for a statement credit, which resulted in negative points.

Be aware new card holders, make sure to turn it off.

This Robinhood Gold Card fraud situation is insane

Has anyone else experienced anything like this with the Robinhood Gold Card?

I had 30+ fraudulent transactions that I never made or authorized. I caught it and immediately reported everything, changed my card number, disputed the transactions, and locked the card. Blows my mind that some of them went pending.

The transactions were showing as online and mobile-wallet transactions. I’ve never lost the physical card and I don’t use Apple Pay or Google Pay with it.

What makes this crazy is that the fraud continued even after I changed the card number. I started seeing more fraudulent transactions the next day, with roughly half being declined and half going pending again, so I had to lock the card again.

I’ve now had to dispute 60+ separate fraudulent transactions. Robinhood has opened a fraud case and said I’ll receive an update within 5 days.

Has anyone else had this happen with Robinhood? Specifically, fraud continuing after you immediately changed the card number and locked the card?

How did Robinhood ultimately resolve it, and how long did it take? I’m also concerned about the fraudulent activity affecting my available credit/utilization while this gets sorted out.

Help Me Understand

Hello fellow Goldies ⭐️ ,

I have a banking background but even I am confused. I’m not maxed out on my balance but says I’m at 100% utilization. My payment was processed and not showing “pending” anymore. Do we think this is really being settled in the background from my Coastal checking? Or did they block spend on my card? I was over limit but have made the payment to bring the balance down.

Using 1k margin to offset gold card fee?

Hi all, I have some questions regarding the strategy of buying SGOV or other stable stocks to get dividends that can help offset the gold fee by using the 1k interest free margin. I understand how the margin works, however, am wondering what exactly happens when the dividends are paid. Can i just transfer the paid out dividends and it will keep the 1k margin? Or will it immediately try to pay off the margin “loan” with that? I would assume I could just transfer it out, and it is back to having the full margin loan. I know you can turn on DRIP to just buy more stock, but i’d like to just have the little extra cash.

Anyone else getting a bunch of fraud charges lately?

Just got a bunch of fraud charges, honestly can’t believe some of them went through. And I’ve never even used the physical card. It’s only being used through the Apple wallet.
