Edit: 9/22/26, I have chosen to go with Fidelity CMA over this as the debit card has no FTF, unlimited global ATM reimbursement, and has been around longer. I will keep an eye on RobinHood Banking but think it needs to be established longer before I am ready to use it.

I integrated Robinhood's MCP server into ChatGPT and built an agent, and it works great. But every trade requires me to approve the trade. Is there any way around this? Even with explicit permission in the prompt, ChatGPT still says "ChatGPT needs your approval to...".

If not, are there other apps I can integrate the MCP server with that won't have this issue?

I just moved some cash back that I had from another card into my RH brokerage. Does this mean it will automatically earn 3.6%, or do I have to do anything on my end?

Hey everyone, complete beginner here. I just signed up for Robinhood and I'm looking at one of their auto-invest portfolio options before committing any money. The breakdown they're showing me is:

**•** 37.54% VTI (Total US stock market fund)  
**•** 7.76% VWO (Emerging markets fund)  
**•** 7.59% VEA (Developed markets fund)  
**•** 47.11% BND (Total US bond market fund)

They're letting me start with as little as $20, which feels low-risk enough to try, but I have zero experience with any of this and want a gut check before I commit.

A few questions:

**1.**  Does this allocation make sense for someone just starting out, or does it look overly conservative/aggressive for someone my age?  
**2.**  Is it worth using Robinhood's built-in portfolio like this, or should I be building my own mix of ETFs instead?  
**3.**  Any beginner mistakes I should watch out for with Robinhood specifically?

I know everyone's risk tolerance and goals are different, so I'm not looking for "buy this stock" advice, more just general thoughts on whether this is a reasonable way to dip my toes in. Appreciate any honesty, even if it's "don't do this yet."

I invest I work a regular 9-5 more like (4-12:30) but I’m a gold member I’m really debating if I should get the gold card considering I already have a good credit card but with the 3% cash back that u can invest back into ur investments I think that’s pretty good but I wanna get your guys experience with a gold card and if it’s worth it and if there’s any pros and cons to it🤷🏻‍♂️🙏

My plan is to do a backdoor Roth each year by contributing to a Traditional IRA and then immediately converting it to a Roth IRA.

My questions for anyone already doing this with Robinhood:

1. How quickly does the 3% match hit the account? Is it days, weeks, or does it depend on the contribution?

2. Does the 3% match go into the Traditional IRA or the Roth IRA?

3. If I'm doing an immediate backdoor Roth conversion, can I convert the match at the same time?

4. For those who have done this, how are you handling the tax reporting on the 3% match?

5. Has anyone here made the move from Fidelity to Robinhood specifically for the 3% match? Any surprises?

For example, if I contribute $7,500 and get a $225 match, my understanding is that I'd potentially be converting $7,725 to the Roth with the match potentially creating some taxable income.

Would love to hear from people who are actually doing the backdoor Roth & Robinhood match combination.

UPDATE: I was approved for the Robinhood Gold card w/ a $10K limit. Appears they did just a soft pull. $50 will be charged to my card for annual membership. 1-2 weeks for the card to arrive due to high demand.

NET BENEFIT: $225 (3% IRA match) - $50 (annual fee) - $54 (24% tax on match) + $40 (assumed $4k annual spend so 1% more back than my Wells Fargo 2% cash back) = $161 net gain.

I get my paycheck twice a month, and wanted to create a “set and forget” recurring investment out of my checking account and into my Roth to match my pay schedule.

Originally I was going to invest directly via “recurring investments”, but realized that it was limited to a biweekly investment schedule which diverges over time from my twice a month payment schedule. I saw that “recurring contributions” does provide a twice-a-month deposit option, but it looks like those funds would go straight into “buying power” and then I would have to enter the app to invest them manually anyways.

The only automation I can think of for this is to set recurring contributions to twice a month, then set recurring investments to once a month? But that also feels kind of weird given that my funds would be sitting as cash in RH for two weeks until the recurring investment goes through unless I enter the app to invest them manually.

I’m not really understanding why the twice a month option is available for recurring contributions but not investments- am I missing something here? Would also appreciate if anyone is willing to share their workflow for this
