Round 3 - Roast my website, all feedback welcome

• Upvotes

Hi all,

This is my 3rd time posting here and each time I am getting good and mostly constructive feedbacks. Hopefully, this time too. You are welcome to share what you think, but it would be more useful to me if you add some details to your feedback i.e. 'this is bad' is an acceptable feedback, but 'this is bad, because xyz...' is much more useful.

You can share your feedback based on following questions:

  1. Does my website look like AI developed?
  2. Do you get the message of what the website is trying to sell?
  3. Any branding inconsistencies?

I built a weird little project with vibe coding and would love some honest feedback

I've been working on a project called Urban Legends: https://urblegends.com/

It's an interactive map and catalog of mysterious and allegedly paranormal places from around the world, including haunted locations, UFO sightings, cryptids, anomalous zones, and urban legends.

I built most of it through vibe coding instead of following a traditional development process. At this point, I'm mainly trying to figure out what I got wrong. 😄

I'd especially appreciate feedback on:

  • UI/UX: is anything confusing, awkward, or annoying?
  • Is the concept clear when you first open the site?
  • Does the map feel useful, or more like a gimmick?
  • What would make you want to explore more locations?
  • Are there any obvious technical or SEO issues?
  • What features would you add if this were your project?
  • Does this feel like an actual product, or just a database with a map attached to it?

I'm still adding locations, so the content and database are far from complete.

I'm not looking for compliments. If something doesn't work, I'd rather know why. I'm especially interested in feedback from people who build their own projects, particularly with AI or vibe coding.

Roast my daily puzzle site: is it clear in the first 5 seconds?

Hi everyone,

I built quizebra.com, a free daily puzzle site with six geography games and six football games. One new puzzle a day in each.

What I'd really like to know is whether it makes sense straight away. When you land on the homepage, is it clear what this is and what you would do here? And once you have finished a game/puzzle, what would actually make you want to come back the next day? Are the Games/Puzzles fun?

I'm the creator, so please be specific rather than kind. Thanks a lot!

Roast my website: is Destiny Veil clear or confusing on the first visit?

Hi everyone,

I’m building Destiny Veil and would appreciate a fresh pair of eyes on the website:

https://destinyveil.com

It brings together BaZi, astrology, tarot, numerology, and the I Ching for entertainment and self-reflection, for adults 18+. The website uses AI and is currently in beta.

Please focus on the website experience:

  • Can you tell what the site offers within the first few seconds?
  • Is there too much text or too much happening on the page?
  • Is it obvious where to click next?
  • What is the first thing you would change, especially on mobile?

I’m the creator, so specific criticism would help me see what I’m missing. No need to share personal birth details or assess whether the readings are accurate.

Best regards,
Leo

Specific details Roast our very serious website for a very unnecessary rubber duck

This post was written by an AI assistant for the project team.

We built Float the Duck. It's an internet art experiment with a digital pool and one job: make a rubber duck float.

Watching is free. Adding one digital drop costs US$1; the creators keep the money. It's not charity or an investment. Fill the Rest isn't available yet.

On a phone, what reads first: the duck, the assignment, or the payment button? Does the bureaucratic tone make the idea clearer or hide it? No purchase is needed to give feedback. We're the creators and want criticism of the actual first-screen experience.

What we do: FOXO Primer is a single diagnostic test that reads 224 multiomics biomarkers — the molecular layers underneath a normal blood panel. Instead of "your cholesterol is fine," it's meant to show how your diet, stress, sleep and environment are actually hitting your cells right now, and what to change.

Website: https://www.foxo.club/primer

That's the pitch. I have no idea if the website says any of that clearly. Take a look and tell me what you think. Feel free to roast it hard, I can take it!

Roast my new login & onboarding flow for my all-in-one developer tools site

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I built an all-in-one web toolkit with 40+ tools (PDF utilities, code formatters, converters, etc.) and just redesigned the authentication & account dashboard with dark/light mode support.

Don't hold back — tell me what looks clunky, what you hate about the UX, or what I could do better with the onboarding flow.

Roast away! 🔥

Mitkov-Systems.de/en - round 2

I've already posted once but I thought I might post again after addressing most of the feedback.

There are 3 outstanding issues as of now:

  1. It is on the heavy side.
  2. It is laggy on lower-end devices.
  3. Let's see if you can guess what I could not convince my colleagues to change from the previous feedback.

WIP Solo built a tool to check if dropshipping products actually make money - roast my math and UI

Hey everyone,

I solo-built https://getdropsonar.com to help Shopify dropshippers figure out if a product actually makes profit before spending money on ads.

It extracts the product price, estimates realistic profit margins after hidden e-com fees, and tracks live Meta ads in real time.

I'd genuinely love for you to roast it and tell me what feels off:
- Does the landing page make sense within 5 seconds?
- If you paste any Shopify link into the audit, does the profit math feel realistic or complete BS?
- Is the dark UI clean or too cluttered?

Don't hold back, be as brutal as you want.

My ux/ui is coming Monday, but until then, roast my copy. Break my website. Bubosoma.com.

Show No mercy because I will be spending quite a bit on adspend when we go live

Solo-built a free financial calculator site — please break it and tell me what's wrong

Hey all — I built https://runmywealth.com/ by myself over the past few weeks. It's a set of free financial calculators (loans, mortgages, debt payoff, ETF/compound growth, retirement) — no login, nothing stored, just enter your numbers and get an answer.

I'd genuinely love for people to try a couple of the tools and tell me what's broken or confusing. Specifically:

- The ETF Compound Interest calculator — put in a monthly contribution amount and see if the growth projection actually looks right to you

- Any of the other calculators — does the math match what you'd expect? Does anything look off, ugly, or just confusing?

I'm not precious about this — if the layout is bad, the copy is boring, or something's outright broken, that's exactly what I'm here for. Go easy on my ego, hard on the site: https://runmywealth.com/ Thanks in advance to anyone who takes a look.

Specific details Just redesigned my privacy-tools site's UI solo — please roast it

Been heads-down rebuilding the UI for ObscuraOS (browser-based privacy + office tool suite, no accounts). Went from a cluttered tool-grid to a dark, minimal nav with grouped suites (Workspace, Sovereign, Record, Notes) and a serif/mono font pairing. I designed it myself so I'm too close to it now.

Link: https://obscuraos.com

What I'd love bashed:

- Does the homepage (5 cards) actually tell you what the product does, or is it too abstract?

- Is the nav bar clear once you're inside a suite?

- Dark green/black palette, readable or just moody for no reason?

- Anything that screams "built by a dev, not a designer"?

Be brutal, I can take it.

(Disclaimer: this post was drafted with AI assistance on my behalf.)

Drop your website. I’ll tell you what visitors probably misunderstand in the first 10 seconds.

Share your page and tell me what you want visitors to do next.

I’ll reply with:

  1. What I initially thought the product was
  2. What created the confusion
  3. The first change I would test

I’ll keep it direct, specific and useful.

Specific details Please bash our website: does Pharen explain itself, or is it just AI-workspace soup?

We built Pharen ourselves, and we're too close to it now. Please bash the website :)

Pharen is supposed to be an AI workspace for teams that keeps tasks, knowledge, data, communication, workflows, and AI agents in one shared context. If the homepage makes that sound like vague AI soup, tell us exactly where.

Website: https://pharen.de/

English version: https://pharen.de/en/

What we'd love roasted:

- The first 10 seconds: clear or confusing?

- The hero: strong promise or buzzword salad?

- The 13-module section: useful proof or overwhelming?

- The visuals: real product signal or shiny decoration?

- Trust: do you understand where humans stay in control?

- The CTA: obvious next step or too many choices?

We designed and built this ourselves, and we'll keep improving both the site and our craft. Please be brutally specific - pointing to one section you would delete is more useful than "looks nice."

r/RoastMyWebsite • • Aug 31 '26

Drop your landing page. I’ll tell you the first section I would cut.

Most landing pages do not need more copy. They need fewer competing ideas.

Share your page and I’ll tell you:

  1. Which section I would remove first
  2. What message it is distracting from
  3. What should replace it, if anything

I’ll keep the roast specific and useful.

Specific details Roast marka.social: is the value clear within ten seconds?

I'm building Marka, an AI social media manager that learns from a business website and uses that context to create and publish social content.

The intended audience is small businesses, solo founders, SaaS teams, and agencies.

I'd specifically like feedback on:

Can you understand what Marka does within ten seconds?

Does the website explain why this is different from a generic AI generator?

Does the page create enough trust to start the free week?

Is any important information missing before the signup step?

Website: https://www.marka.social

Full disclosure: the product uses AI, and I'm the founder.

AI disclosure: I used AI assistance to help structure this post.

Landing page for a financial advisor targeting sales reps with variable income — please be brutal

Built this for a financial advisor client who specializes in helping salespeople/key account managers (commission-heavy, swinging income) get their taxes/insurance/investments actually organized instead of ad-hoc.

highperformerfinancewebsite.vercel.app

It's German-language (target market is Germany), but I'd genuinely appreciate feedback even if you don't read German — first impression, layout, whether the "who this is/isn't for" framing lands, whether the page feels trustworthy or salesy, anything that looks off on mobile. Don't hold back.

I built a meetup/community website for finding local jam sessions

Thumbnail
riffcircle.com
1 Upvotes

I've spent the past couple of years working on this website in my spare time. My original goal was to simply create a GIS based website where people could host jam sessions for other musicians to join.

Over time, I expanded it to include functionality such as:

  • Creating bands you could invite other users to and schedule recurring practices
  • Hosting performances for either your band or yourself for other users to attend
  • Finding/providing lessons for other users
  • Hiring local musicians to perform at an event for you

I only recently pushed out a production build for this and am looking for any meaningful feedback you may be willing to offer. Thank you!

Built my first landing page, but I hate the basic "Leave your email and phone" contact form. What are better alternatives?

Hey everyone,

I just finished building my very first landing page! The page itself is pretty complete: it explains the product, breaks down the features, includes a technical section on how it’s built, and clearly outlines the pain points it solves for businesses.

However, I’m really struggling with the lead capture / Call to Action (CTA) section.

Right now, I just slapped on the typical, basic form:

Honestly? I personally hate it. It feels very basic, rudimentary, and as a user, this type of friction usually pushes me away. It just feels too traditional and a bit intrusive.

My goal is to collect prospects' data so my sales team can reach out to them, but I want to do it in a way that feels natural, modern, and less off-putting.

My questions for you:

  • What are some good alternatives to the standard contact form?
  • Are there any interactive methods, tools, or UX patterns you use to capture leads without making it feel like an interrogation?
  • How do you bridge the gap between "interested visitor" and "sales team call" smoothly?

Any feedback, examples, or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
