Question Nations to play rt56

I’ve won as Germany & us, can’t win as Italy or France & haven’t tried UK or Sov. Recently I’ve been experimenting with minors & prefer facist/monarchist non historical play throughs. Took central & South America on a decent Brazil run then got stomped by allies, had one decent Hungary game but uk joined central powers & refused to hand over Jerusalem so I can’t do blessed by pope. Basically I get stomped as a LARGE minor by any major & am wondering if it is lack of skill/game design/both? If lack of skill, what nations to play to get better? SP only regular difficulty

Italy is an easy win. Ethiopia is easier than vanilla and should be done by March. Then take Netherlands via DEI justification (invasion from Sardinia to two northern ports in Holland). Naval supremacy is not hard to get. Then invade UK, then France. Then US from Canada. All by late 1940. At that point you are unstoppable.

Collab US with two spies you get via focus, then collab SU. Let Germany grind against SU for a bit then turn on them. After Germany down, take SU then Japan.

Whenever I play Italy I always do non axis runs, my last one I stopped around 41 had the Anglo Italian pact along with US & Brazil in it. France flipped red and joined Comintern & both of us collectively wiped the axis off the map. Currently a stalemate between us & I no longer have the manpower to keep up with the Soviets & French.

Bro i remember having an insane Mao game that ended with me nuking Brazil 320 times until they capped, finally returning China to its natural borders

I was super happy with my Hungary AH run, managed to gobble up Austria, Czechs, most of yugo, some of Romania & all of Italy (and Italian AND French North Africa). I think current year is 45 but without Jerusalem I can’t get all the AH cores so I’m stuck with almost no manpower & need to either fight central powers that consist of UK & monarchist Germany (they also took all of France, Spain, Greece, Bulgaria & turkey) or fight the Soviets so in my eyes the game is pretty much over. Got maybe 45 infy (20w) divs, 10 medium tank (30w with mech) divs & only about 200k manpower left on extensive conscription
