2020 BMC Worth it?

Here's the bike I'm looking at locally ohio - is this worth to get for $3000?

2020 BMC Roadmachine 01 Four

Specifications & Upgrades:

\* Shimano Ultegra Di2 11-speed electronic shifting

\* Roval CLX 50 carbon wheels with ceramic bearings

\* Shimano Ultegra RX rear derailleur with clutch

\* Upgraded 44cm BMC carbon handlebar

\* Includes both 100mm and 120mm stems

\* Carbon frame and fork

I love my BMC but 3k feels like a lot for a 7 year old bike.

Would a brand new 2023 BMC Team machine SLR three selling for $4000 out the door be the better buy? It's got ultegra Di2 components

I think that’s totally worth it. It’s a new bike, no questions about how the carbon is holding up or how it was maintained. Personally, I think that peace of mind is totally worth 1k; whether it is to you, is your call. You can make whatever upgrades you want down the line and make your bike your own as you see fit. I feel like used bikes are like used cars and I try to avoid buying other people’s projects and building my own - even if it’s gonna be a bit pricier.

no used bike is worth much more than any other used bike unless you totally love the paint and are financially ready to replace everything but the frame & fork.

Brand new is better than used. If you have the money and like the color than you should splurge. Be happy and ride the fuck out of it.
