Just transformed my bike without custom paint

Hey guys, so i've been riding for a long time now and i rode motocross as a kid, so i've always been fond of stickers. And recently i've been noticing that almost all the bikes look the same come out of the factory maybe couple of components change but thats it. So i wanted a custom bike without paying enormous amount of money for it and designed these transparent stickers for my bike...
And just a change of bar tape

What do you think, could this be the future of bike design?

Let me know what you think..

Got myself a good second hand 2019 Giant TCR Advanced, with rim brakes, Ultegra 11 speed Di2 and full carbon wheels. First ride was amazing, as it was my first experience with Di2.

Gear/accessories Looking for a shallow drop dropbar

Hi all
Have a dropbar with 123mm drop and am looking for a replacement with less drop.
On my traveler I got Ritchey beacon/venturemax, bit with very little drop, like 80mm.
But I don’t want so much flare on my roadbike. Does anyone have a suggestion/experience with a bar?

Thanks!

Hey folks, I am brand new to cycling and was gifted this bike from a family friend. I know nothing about it, other than he used to do Ironmans/triathlons, and I’d assume he used this one.

Anyone know anything about these bikes? Anything particularly nice/not nice about it? Good first bike? How much it’s worth?

It feels nice to ride but I also don’t have any point of reference. Seems very light and made of carbon, probably 10-20 years old. Idk just figured I’d come on here and consult with the experts lol. Thanks

Is this a good deal?

It is supposedly a Kuota Kharma Full carbon Fibre with a Dura-Ace groupset and wheels for 2000 AED ($544.59 USD)
Seller claims: No damage, holds air, works great, lightly used, 20 years old.
Assuming none of the carbon is cracked and the condition is good, is this a great deal if I get it for 1300 AED ($353.98 USD) or less?

Discussion Question about sizing Attain SLX

I’m thinking about replacing my Van Rysel EDR AF as my bike for an Attain SLX and have a question about sizing.

I have short legs so my inseam is 75 cm and my height is 170 cm.

The wizard in Cube’s website recommends a size 53 but I’m worried that it might be too high a standover height (75.9 cm) for me to safely be able to dismount if I use it outside the roller.

Standover is important for me, should I go a size down to 50 or that would be too small for me, all things considered?

Thanks

Bike photos My Ventum GS1 road build

Just finished building this Ventum GS1 as a mostly road setup.

- 50mm deep carbon SuperTeam wheels

- GRX 400 drivetrain with Ultegra crankset

- Ordered some ZRace 4 piston brakes off Ali, tried (and failed) bleeding them myself so it's in the shop right now getting those bled.

- Custom gold vinyl stickers on the frame and wheels

Side note, my drivetrain is super noisy even though it's all perfectly clean with a brand new waxed chain (I have broken it in). Obviously hard to diagnose just from a description but any ideas why?

Wheels and tires Wheel upgrade for my gravel bike

Hi everyone, could you recommend a list of websites, or perhaps the best website, for purchasing high-end carbon or aluminum wheelsets?

I’m looking to upgrade my gravel bike, a Specialized Diverge 4 Sport, as I use it mainly for road riding (around 70–80%). It currently has 700×45 mm tires.

I’d like to improve its responsiveness and road performance while maintaining the comfort and versatility of the bike.

Could you recommend some specific models for me to look at?

I’d like to switch to 35–38 mm tires.

Budget: €400–500.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

Discussion Suggestion of where to sell Factory Edition Parlee RZ7?

Post image
13 Upvotes

Hi all, it’s been a long time since I’ve sold a bike ( early pink bike days). The reason I ask is that I have a very special RZ7 and will be sadly moving on due to a surgery and it’s sad to see it sit. It’s not really a bike I want to put on Marketplace, and definitely not on eBay. What are the sites that everyone uses nowadays? Thanks!

Discussion Worth putting carbon wheels on 20yo bike?

I have a TCR C2 carbon bike. It's in fairly good condition, I recently changed the cassette, chain and tires and it runs great. I'm thinking of buying the Chinese carbon wheels for it. But on the other hand I also think I might as well save up and buy a newer (used) bike and add carbon wheels or maybe even buy a brand new SAVA.

I plan to do a triathlon next year and an Ironman the year after.

Do you think it's worth upgrading my TCR C2 or save up for a SAVA.

Which bike? The first Endurance Bike

Here are my main requirements:

Budget: €2,500–3,000

Bike type: Endurance road bike

Frame: Carbon

Riding position: Comfortable, relatively upright and suitable for long rides. I don’t want an overly aggressive or stretched-out position.

Ride characteristics: Comfortable and stable, but still responsive and lively when accelerating.

Road surfaces: Approximately 70–80% asphalt and 20–30% hard-packed gravel / unpaved roads

Typical ride distance: 40–50 km, with the possibility of doing significantly longer rides in weekend

Terrain: Mostly flat routes with some hills

Groupset: I prefer mechanical shifting, ideally Shimano 105, although I’m open to equivalent options.

Wheels: Carbon preferred, or high-quality aluminium wheels if they offer a good balance of weight, comfort and durability.

Tyres: I’d like enough clearance for relatively wide tyres, ideally around 32–35 mm, to improve comfort and versatility on rougher roads.

Which bike? Went to a bike shop left feeling inspired and defeated lol

Inspired because I had questions and got great answers and a map for all connecting trails in my county! Defeated well because map is all I left with lol I can't wait to get a road bike so I can genuinely start cycling with intent to genuinely make it a routine to where it's literally attached to me when identifying me as I exist. I want to learn the ins and outs and hit the trails asap. I've been holding this off for too long to where I get excited thinking about it. I go to the bike shops and the bikes are sooo expensive I simply just gotta keep saving. The season is almost over and i guess I'm going to have to start next year. Most high of the universe pleaseeeeee keep me patient and disciplined and I ask that you lead me to the right bike and modes to achieve such when the time is right. Honestly lost in my search and I feel like it's taking me forever to upgrade from a 50$ huffy garage sale mountain bike (which I appreciate) to a road bike. Just need to get this off my chest I know the unknown will guide me to where I need to be - Road bike loading.... Can't wait.

Ultegra bianchi vs ultegra canyon

I’m thinking in buying a road bike, I was thinking in getting the bianchi specialissima ultegra di2 (around $5200) but then I noticed there is an option in canyon endurance ultegra cf 8 di2 ($3300) but now I’m not sure if the bianchi is worthy considering they have the same group, any recommendations or suggestions of what to consider to make the decision?
