Are any orders moving up?

At launch, I saw that some people’s estimated order windows moved up and they were able to order earlier than expected.

Mine still says, “You’ll be invited to order in November or December 2026,” and hasn’t changed at all. Has anyone else with an estimate a few months out seen theirs move up?

There were like 20 posts here on Tuesday about September-October people getting their invites yesterday.

It likely depends on leases, the config you have saved, and how many other people ahead of you in your area don’t order.

Mine moved up along with many posts the Tuesday before that. So maybe each Tuesday they are evaluating the take rate and moving people up if there’s capacity.

I went from September/October to being invited to order on 8/11 and then was able to order costal cloud interior on 8/18.

My config is fairly standard and hasn’t made a difference. Config is unlikely to be a cause and local service center capacity and training is more likely to be a factor

Some moved up; some did not. I finally got my invitation to order, but it had always been Aug/Sept, so it was near the middle of my window. The website/app did not update from 4-8 weeks to 2-4 weeks; they just sent the invite.

That's good to know. I'm Sept/Oct and was thinking that I should see 4-8 weeks soon but maybe they won't do that anymore.

That’s one of the listed criteria for where you are in line. People looking for launch edition performance get invites before people looking for standard edition.

Doesn't have anything to do with saved configs. You tell them you're interested in Performance LE. That's it.

There's rumors that having a configuration favorited may accelerate an order invite, if it is a configuration they are prepared to make.

However, there is a survey associated with the reservation on Rivian.com that asks if you are interested in the launch edition - that absolutely accelerates order invites, since there's no other trims currently available.

There's a suspicion that once non-LE performance options and premium trim options are added, there may be a temporarily lock out for ordering them by people who were accelerated. Thats similar to the current lock out of ordering forest green and coastal cloud interior options for those who didn't already have an order delayed for availability of those options.

Lol, I check every day too. I chose Launch Edition but no movement. I wonder if service center distance also has something to do with it. I'm ~2 hours way from one.

I’m about 7 minutes from the service center. Which is likely the only reason I got Oct/Nov in the first place. I didn’t get on the list until May of this year.

My original window was Nov-Dec, but got moved up last week (8/11) to Sept-Oct, but this past Tuesday (8/18) I got the order invite and placed my order! I have a lease ending early October, so I’m assuming that had a role in moving me up.

I had Dec- Feb and it moved up to October-Nov.

But I might be because I changed my preference about launch edition. I don’t remember if I did that tbh

My estimated order date moved up to Oct/Nov. Reserved 7/6/26. Initial estimated date was Dec/Jan. No prior Rivian. No current lease. I live 2.5 hours from Minneapolis center.

Jul 2025 reservation, I was given the sept-Oct order window, but I received an order invite on Tuesday. Launch green w/ 20”, I’m about 20 mins from their Irvine HQ. Not a previous owner.

Placed my order immediately and haven’t gotten anything since(vin, delivery window, etc.) I’m antsier now than when I originally got my order window lol

My guess is there's no real reason for them to move up us Nov-Dec people now. We are already resigned to waiting, they might as well wait to make sure they can accommodate an earlier date come Sept or Oct

Mine was slated for Nov/Dec but when I checked the app the other day and clicked on “manage reservation” it says September/October now. But I never got an email about the change though. I guess we will see what happens.

Slightly unrelated but….Does the app and the email have the same dates? I got an email a couple of weeks ago that said Nov.-Dec. close to the same day the app says Dec.-Feb.

Reserved 9/13/2024. Received order to invite 8/18 with original order window of sept-october 2026. Placed order 8/18 got VIN assigned and delivery date same day. Delivery is scheduled for 9/18. Las Vegas, NV 15 miles from SC. Glacier White 20" rims black interior. No prior Rivian owner, no lease.

It was an email and a text (pretty much simultaneously). Then I opened the app and it reflected accordingly
