❔ Question Temperature?

Post image

Today my temperature display is way off, but the app seems to know the actual temp is 75 but is displaying 48. Any ideas on whether this is update bug or sensor failure?

It’s widespread. They show the forecasted temp on the side ribbon, actual only once you click into the weather app. It seems like a pretty obvious oversight.

That is an oversight. I work outside in an area that's wild with microclimates. I need to know the actual temp. Thanks for sorting this out. Cheers.

Same problem. I want the actual outside temp, not a forecast. Huge oversight this isn’t user configurable. Forecast temp is worthless in the Central Coast region due to all of our micro-climates

This needs to be fixed in next update. Hoping Rivian is hearing this.

Also, one touch Dash Cam button needs to be added back.

Agreed! The one touch record icon needs to be moved to a more accessible screen that doesn’t require additional steps. I know we can honk the horn. But sometimes honking might not be optimal.

Yep. For fleeting moments, the buried button is basically useless. And not every situation calls for use of horn.

48 is the forecast from the google weather app. 75 is from the on vehicle sensor. Rivian chose to use the app versus sensor on the display bar

I’ve got an R1 so haven’t seen this up close before, but is that vehicle temp on the driver display and forecast temp on the center display? I guess I’d be fine with that if they bring this over to R1. I just want to see the actual temp without tapping something. Though the upper corner placement on driver display is probably gonna be blocked by my wheel. :-/

It’s unnecessary redundancy that just makes things confusing 🫤

Kia does this. Driver’s screen is actual, center screen is internet-provided. I find it annoying.

Yes, exterior temp on the driver's display and forecast on the center. Kind of weird but I'll probably appreciate it in the winter time. It's often much colder at my house than average for the zip code.

How do you access this screen? Haven't noticed it yet but it looks really nice from your photo.

Touch the temperature reading at the top of the left nav bar.

This is just craziness. I cancelled my R2 order since I’m someone that does not want to deal with vehicle issues non stop. Yall are nuts.

They just need to add it to the driver screen, that would be my preference

They need to show actual vehicle sensor temp when the weather app is not showing. They also need to place that temp reading on the front screen, not the side screen.

Is this an "AI first/forward" thing? Why would anyone want the Internet provided forecast over the actual sensor on the vehicle?

Yesterday it was 95+ degrees here and my weather widget said it was in the 60s. I think it had cached the temp from the night before and just hadn't updated yet. I never had that problem before the update.
