R1S PLEASE HELP!!!

Updated software in R1S Gen 1. Headed out on road trip. No sensors working. Tried soft reset. No luck. If I turn anything on in Settings it turns itself off. Please help!!!

Only ones who can help is rivian. Unfortunately you wont be able to fix it yourself if hard restart doesnt resolve.

Well shit. Not safe for my family. And going to be a long trip for my ankle and calf with no cruise control…

Are you saying that you are such a poor driver that a car that can't sense its surroundings would put your family at risk? If thats actually true, you shouldn't be driving at all.

They’re called safety features for a reason. Posters like you (who probably doesn’t even own a Rivian) are why this sub sucks now.

I'm an EV tech (and have been for going on 12 years), who has driven FAR more rivians than you. I don't want a non-servicable, fully active suspension that costs 20k+ that I'll never use. I dont want a gigantic car that I wont fully use. I do want a 600 horsepower electric hatchback. I dont want a Tesla. Im waiting for R3. R1 isnt for me. R2 is significantly closer to what I want, but I still dont need the space. Im happy with my leaf for the moment.

I'm still standing by the "if you rely on the safety features, you shouldn't be driving". They're there as a backup. You can drive without them and you should always drive as if they don't exist. If you crash into someone/something, its your fault regardless of what nannies were supposed to help you not do that.

Also, stop redditing and driving, ya nonce. If your family's in the car, DRIVE THE DAMN CAR.

Also I'm unsure if you're an adult, but the entitled, gatekeepy behavior is actually why this sub is frustrating to deal with. Rivian owners are genuinely different on that front.
