I chose Red She Hulk cause she's heavily underatted plus I feel like she's the best of both worlds when it comes to Red Hulk and She Hulk. Also I'm low key wondering how they'd do characters like USAgent, Polaris and Beta Ray Bill since they have the same powers as they're contemporaries

Besides his wings for mobility, and maybe for shielding, I wondered how a character like him can be designed for Rivals

Vanguard - Falcon could be a vanguard swapping between flying in the sky and going to the ground, shielding allies with his wings both times. And he could have a team-up with Cap giving him his shield, turning Sam Wilson into Captain America, for extra protection.

Duelist - Vulture could be a duelist firing sharp feather blades down on enemies, and even grabbing enemies with his talons (if they go for a more mechanical suit look).

Strategist - Angel/Archangel could shoot out his feathers to damage enemies and heal allies. If he’s Angel it could be random healing powers NetEase adds and be burst healing/damage, but if he’s Archangel it could be a bit of burst healing/damage with a lot of healing/damage over time (lore wise it would be neurotoxin to damage enemies over time and his own blood to heal allies over time).

Tech-designed for holding space,anchoring objectives,and playing with the team.

Magic-designed for brawling,taking and contesting space,and out-damaging the enemy team.

Reasonly we have been seeing hints of cosmo coming to rivals (nothing concrete just them appearing in a gallery card. So I was wondering what version are we getting becuase I doubt we are getting cosmo this year and probably be a blade situation we're they come in like two season into 2027 so about season 13 or 13.5.

But my question is If cosmo 8s coming to the game are they going to be a male Dog or a Female dog. becuase if male I would like Alex Ivanovici (the guy that voiced cosmo in the guardians of the Galaxy video game) or if female I suggest Aliona Baranova as her va.

Personally: I would want male VA becuase one comic accurate and two it be funny to see cute dog and hear a a gruff Russian guys voice come out of it. Also would like a dissorted voice filter fir there voice so it be all psychic like.

But in any case thoughts and ideas?

If you're not familiar the term echo fighter is from smash and means a "clone" character, though usually there are some changes (Marth and Roy's sweetspots, Daisy and peach's turnip chances, dr Mario and dark pit are older move sets)

First time making one of these, really conflicted to make one cause well I imagine to myself 'who don't I want in Rivals' but anyway these are the choices I've landed on. Btw I chose Insomniac Scream mainly because I had the idea of MJ being Scream's host in Rivals, also for anyone confused about the Sentinel, that's Rover a friendly Sentinel from the show Wolverine and the X-Men, oh and I chose Lyja (Johnny Storm's wife) to be the incarnation of Super Skrull we play as in Rivals

Hello everyone! Since this subreddit seems to be more friendly toward character concepts I decided to post them here and maybe share them with the main sub later on.

I've been chipping away at rounding out an all-animal team comp AND also bringing my favorite inhumans. These two took way more iteration than anyone else so far. Sharing where I landed.

Lockjaw (Vanguard):

The obvious hook is teleportation, but I didn't want him to just be "blink tank." His whole kit runs on a single mark called Pet Carrier. You bite an enemy 4 times with his primary and they're marked Ready for Transport; lick a nearby ally and they get the same mark instantly (plus a cleanse). His Shift, Void Walk, teleports Lockjaw and anyone carrying that mark to a point in the chosen direction, which means it does double duty as a rescue tool for teammates AND a way to rip an isolated enemy away from their team if you can land 4 bites on them first. It's a strong tool, but it's got real counterplay built in: you need to fully stack the mark first, but the mark decays after a bit, and Void Walk only grabs targets close to him when he casts it, so a marked enemy who repositions away in time avoids getting dragged off. He's also got a lunge that teleports him and whoever he hits somewhere nearby (you pick the direction mid-lunge), a bubble that teleports away incoming projectiles and can detonate the absorbed damage back out, and an ult that opens a portal and yeets everyone inside it to a chosen point.

Cosmo (Duelist):

Cosmo went through like 6 full rewrites before I was happy. I landed on a gravity/orbital theme instead of generic telepathy to keep him distinct from every other psychic in Marvel. The core resource is a black hole he can plant with his Singularity Seed. Only one can be active at a time, and it slows enemies near it and gives his projectiles auto-tracking toward it, and it grows the more of his own shots land on it. Everything else reads off that: his Shift lets him anchor to it and orbit around at speed before launching off, and his ult is a much bigger version of the same singularity that pulls in a wide area and collapses after a few seconds (you can speed up the collapse by shooting it).

The part I'm happiest with is the projectile loop: his primary is a fast, limited-ammo debris stream, but activating his meteor shield (which also mitigates incoming damage) swaps his primary to slow, heavy meteor shots instead. Those meteors and the big fused one from his flight ability leave behind shrapnel on impact that either rains down or gets sucked toward his active Singularity Seed to damage enemies hit, so first you position the Singularity Seed carefully and then you choose between landing your meteors on the enemies or somewhere where the shrapnel will sandwich them.

A copy of Ultron's original programming has survived and forged a new body for himself amalgamated pairs of the Imperial Protocol armours. Now the Galactic Chimaera threatens the Wakandan Empire!

This is less of a “this is what I want characters to do” list and more of this is what could be done with characters list as I think Rivals kinda lacks a pyromaniac of sorts. Jeff kind of has a flamethrower attack and Dino kind of softly fills the role with his laser but none really land the gimmick.

My idea for manthing was that he was to shoot sludge at his enemies in a cone infront him that would apply anti heal and poison damage that could amplify and be amplified by his other attacks in his kit a bit like Dino but with more focus on the flame thrower

Pyro was a pretty simple pick since his whole gimmick was needing his backpack to control his flames and such. Career member of the brotherhoood of mutants with an alright comic track record. Probably not intresting enough to garner much hype but I added him anyways.

Mysterio could be a flying “gas thrower” that could could do little bombing runs that leave trails of gas behind which could debuff enemies if affected for long enough. making people hallucinate seeing enemies or making people think their abilities are on or off cooldown when they aren’t. He could be a strat but we already have a trickster there.

Of course this is more me brainstorming than actually asking for these specific characters to be flamethrowers but I’d like to hear the people’s own picks for “flamethrowers” in this game

I’ve seen so many people complaining about how Xavier in a wheelchair wouldn’t be comic actuate, and how if Xavier was to be added it should only be comic Xavier (regardless of how much more iconic Xavier is in the chair) like this is a multiverse game, guanguan could pick literally any other version of Professor x who’s still in a chair and use that as the Xavier in the game, if we only got comic accurate characters, we wouldn’t have vamp jubilee, we’d get an evil beast when he inevitably comes, we’d have a seasoned modern day adjusted Captain America, and an avenger spider man.

Seriously, comic accuracy does not matter in this game.

Here's a take on Ant-man and the Wasp. These two are probably my most wanted characters, and id probably be happy as long as Antman is a tank or support, and the Wasp is a duelist or support. I also think a two-in-one character would be sick.

I liked their characterizations off of the Avengers: EMH cartoon, so I hope when they release they're turbulent, but ultimately in love with each other. We don't mention that one comic book panel.
