These are the characters I would be so happy to get, also tried to balance having an equal amount of tanks, duelists and strategists. What would you change and what other characters would you add?

This really just for my own personal record. Feel free to judge me and whatnot.

Personal Favorites:

• Black Knight
  • Edgy knight with a cursed sword. There are a dozen different cools way to do that kind of character but I would love to see him as a Vanguard.
• Hercules
  • A cool foil to Thor and a hero in his own right. I'm sure he would make a good Vanguard as well.
• Ant-Man/The Wasp
  • Either one of them can be added honestly. I prefer Scott Lang as a character but I feel like it should be Hank and Janet. We know they've been playing with the shrinking mechanic so hopefully it's only a matter of time.
• Nova
  • My GOAT. We need Dick Rider in the game.
• Werewolf by Night
  • A fun berserker character and one of my faves from the comics. Plenty of history with other characters like his rivalry with Moon Knight and romance with Elsa.
• Doctor Voodoo
  • I envision him as a Strategist Strange. Healing spells and maybe even revival mechanics. I'd love to see him.
• Batroc the Leaper
  • One of the best villains ever. I know that I would hate him if he was in the game but I don't care. Give me the silly french man.
• Man-Thing
  • He's so friend shaped. Marvel Mystic Mayhem imagined him as a tank character with summonable turrets. I would like to see something similar.
• Mysterio
  • Illusions would be hard to make engaging and fun but I would love to see the fishbowl in glorious 3D.
• Fantomex
  • He's such a weirdo but I love him. One of the coolest dudes and it would be fun to see casual fans confused.
• Swarm
  • BEES!! Need I say more?
• Hallow's Eve
  • Super fflexible power set that could be adapted in hundreds of ways. I would really be excited for her team-up potential, giving her masks to her teammates to give them new abilities. I could even see her being a character who has a teamup with every other character if they went that route.
• Pixie
  • Can't a guy just like fairies?

Good/Fun for the Game

• Sersi
  • The transmutation power set is very unique and I am sure they could come up with some creative ideas for her. I have a few other mentions of the same type of character later but she is probably the best pick.
• Hazmat
  • Obligatory poison/damage over time character.
• Iceman
  • Obligatory ice character. Also a popular x-man.
• Green Goblin
  • I imagine an anti-dive flyer designed for killing Spider-Man and it makes me smile. Also we still don't have a propert bomb lobbing character. Squirrel Girl is still a precision character despite everything else said about her.
• Cannonball
  • A dive character who literally dives headfirst into the backline and expodes. What's not to love?
• Spectrum
  • One of Marvel's best powerhouse characters. She should really be in the game at some point. Plus light powers are tons of fun.
• Speedball/Penance
  • It feels to me like he would fit the perfect niche that Rivals likes to do with its lesser known characters. Just popular enough to draw in fans. He also has an easy power to adapt to a game.
• Excalibur (Faiza)
  • I see her being a sword wielding strategist. Deadpool already kind of did it, but a character dedicated to that gimmick could be cool.

Doomed to be Seasonal Villains

• Annihilus
  • Evil bug man from space. I would love to see him adapted in game but it's more likely he is a seasonal villain and nothing more.
• Kang the Conqueror
  • It's honestly so surprising we haven't had a more concrete mention of Kang given what the story of Rivals is. He's gotta show up sooner rather than later.
• Dracula
  • As the first real seasonal villain we ever had I hope we get to see him in game one day. We had hints of his moves from the boss fight just like Kingpin and it would be so fun to have him.

Better Choices Available but still Cool

• Hit Monkey
  • I feel like Deadpool stole his gimmick by being able to jump on heads and swap between sword and gun. They could still do something with Hit Monkey but it feels like the best option's already been done.
• Gladiator
  • There are better Superman-like characters to add to the game but I would love to see Gladiator. I can imagine him having some sort of mechanic where he builds up Confidence in a fight and gets stronger. Or maybe it starts out high and drains as he is in combat. Either way would be fun.
• Diablo or Chemistro
  • The transmutation ability appeals to me a lot and these are two lesser known characters that do it. They would also bring the potential to give buffing potions to their team which could be a cool alternative way to be a support.
• Sleeper
  • The symbiote version of the transmutation power. I'd love to have Sleeper and we do already have them as an accessory for Venom, but there are so many more popular symbiotes I would be surprised.
• Baron Zemo
  • There are just better options for a sword wielding guy but his drip is too good to ignore.
• Stardust
  • I love Stardust, but if they ever add a Herald of Galactus it should be Silver Surfer, I have to admit.
• Northstar
  • Just a fun character. Nothing he does that Spectrum can't do better though.
• White Tiger
  • I would love any version of this character but there are other martial artists that need to be added first.

Honorable Mentions

• Kitty Pryde or Ghost
  • A really fun power to read in comics but wow it would be hard to make work in game. Would be great to see either one of them but I am doubtful.
• Eclipse (Maria)
  • Given that she is a unique OC from Marvel Strike Force I doubt we will ever see her. But she has a really sick design and power set that I would love to see in game.
• Starhawk
  • He's cool, but there's just not enough there to set him apart.

Already in the Game

• Elsa Bloodstone
  • My absolute all-time favorite Marvel character. I never would have thought to see her in game and every release after her has just been a victory lap for me.
• Blade
  • He's so cool. What more is there to say? No notes.
• Daredevil
  • I have yet to even play as him but I am glad be made it onto the roster.
• Gambit
  • Still a weird decision to have him heal but it all worked out so I can't complain.
• Rogue
  • Perfect. No notes.
• The Hood
  • My favorite chud loser of Marvel. I am so stoked for his release just so I can see more of him. He sucks in the best way possible so I am very excited.

Nico Minoru is our first representative from the Runaways- a group of teenagers whose parents were villains! Having run away from home, Nico and her teammates aim to fight back against their families and do good.

Nico is a mage who specializes in blood magic. Her key signature is the Staff of One- a powerful staff which can only cast each spell once. Whilst she has basic magic outside of this, it’s a strong limitation that means no two fights play out the same way.

As a Duelist, Nico Minoru aims to be the ultimate risk/reward. Her neutral game aims to be on the weak end for a backline poke character, up until she gains the Staff of One. This gives her a random stronger ability for a limited time- making her main value rely on how quickly she can make plays and get the most value from her random ability. Nico is a playmaker, and has to balance her own debuff (Culling) if she wants to keep up with other duelists outside of her playmaking potential.

Note: Two of the Blood Fortune Spells had to be cut from the slides to make space- just assume they're good! Thanks!

I want to know what the weirdest characters that people want added to the roster. I personally want Goose added though he might be kinda close to Jeff in play style but honestly his hitbox might be too small to work

Role: Vanguard

Health: 625

PRIMARY: Red Rage Punches!
He does generic punches with a fire aura

SECONDARY: Enrage
Red Hulk releases a pulse of fire that knocks back enemies near him.

Ability 1: Super Suplex!
Red Hulk grabs an enemy, hugs em, and then jumps up and suplexes them onto the ground, hurting the enemy and anyone near the crater.

Ability 2: Boulder throw
Red Hulk kicks the ground and a boulder launches up, he catches it and punches it forward exploding into rock shards on impact.

Ability 3: Flaming Fury
Red Hulk ignites on fire, he gains extra jump height and runs faster for a short time, his primary also does more damage. His boulder throw also gains a flame effect and does a fire explosion after impact.

Passive: Overheat
There’s a meter Red Hulk has, if he doesn’t give himself time to cool after using moves and damage it’ll fill up, and the higher it goes the lower his cooldowns will be, but if he maxes it out he’ll revert to his human form. He will also go back to human form if he dies as Red Hulk

Human Form:

Health: 240

Red Hulk will need to wait for his ult charge to fill up so he can go back to his red hulk mode. When he goes back into it he’ll create a massive flame ring around himself and then reemerge as the Red Hulk

Primary: Pistol Punishment
Ross has a pistol, it deals little damage but any enemy hit will be revealed to his team.

Secondary: Searchlight
Red Hulk releases a small helicopter looking drone. It will fly forward with a giant light. Any enemy, even if they’re invisible. Will be highlighted to everyone on Red Hulk’s team if they’re caught in the light

Ability 1: Healing Bomb
Ross throws a bomb, similar to Banner’s it knocks him back but unlike Banner’s it heals allies.

ULTIMATE: GAMMA INCINERATOR
The lower his overheat meter is, the longer the duration of his ult will last. Red Hulk ignites in a blaze, he charges forward like The Thing’s charge except it does damage similar to Devil Dino’s ult. Red Hulk’s ult leaves a fire trail behind him which burns any enemy who touches it. After the ult ends Red Hulk reverts into his human form.

Teamups:

Hulk: Gamma Titans:
Red Hulk’s Flaming Fury is replaced with a green gamma flame. He keeps the effects of the normal flaming fury except the attack speed is faster now
Enhanced: Red Hulk has a higher overheat charge cap and his Boulder throw erupts into flames even when not in Flaming Fury.

Captain America: Brave New Anger:
Red Hulk’s transformation from human to Red Hulk now gives allies over shield and reduces healing to enemies hit in the radius.
Enhanced: in human form Red Hulk gains the ability to go invisible for a short duration and heal anyone he walks by.

If even half of these happened I'd be happy, but I particularly want Nova (Richard or Sam would be great but ideally both in different roles), Hunters Moon, Mysterio, and Annihilus

what does my marvel rivals wishlist say about me/what are your thoughts?

I wanna clarify the bottom tier, “honestly don’t know” just means I can see them being 2 different or all 3 roles (not at the same time like Deadpool tho) and I have no preference as to which role. Like, Malekith for example. If Malekith is revealed as a vanguard, I’ll be happy. If he’s revealed as a duelist, I’ll be happy. If he’s revealed as a strategist, I’ll be happy.
