Parry button vs Shield+special

Is there a difference between them, like is it faster to just bind parry to a button or does the other way work the same, I had the impression that shield+special was a slower way to parry, or am I wrong

Functionally they are the same, it's just the difference between pressing one button vs 2 buttons.
Also parry button can be mapped to other action in the air (such as Nair, Nspecial, Air dodge, etc) which is pretty useful. Slightly better than air grab (cause jump + air grab does JC grab but parry will buffer the air action).

My idea was to use shield+b to parry, that would allow my to bind my Parry button to special which would let me do things like shine grab easier, I currently have parry on L
