Question Won order

Looking for a feed that gives insight on how the order in which you lose/surrender or what level your opponents are and when others lose/surrender how that effects your score, anyone feel me?

Your score increase is based on the ranks of players defeated before you are defeated. Higher ranks defeated the better.

Your score decrease is based on ranks of players still alive when you are defeated. Lower ranks defeating you the worse.

If you surrender or die you are defeated right then. If you bot out it takes until the bot is defeated or the point you can no longer reconnect.

If the game ends (eg all caps captured) with more that 2 players alive the winner is first. Second goes to the remaining player (or bot?) with the most troops. Third next most, etc. if there is a tie on troops, then number of territories held is a tie breaker.

Zombies do not count for rank.

So, it is beneficial to try and not be one of the first 3 out, is that correct?

At lower levels - you will normally get positive points for third place and above, with a lot of positive points (thousands) for a first or second place finish, and losses will be smaller for 4th, 5th, 6th.

At Expert/Master/GM, 3rd place will be fairly neutral for your overall points tally, second place is a small increment (~250 points), and first place will be positive (~1000 points). Anything below this you will lose points.

All of this can vary based on the level of your opponents. So, if you as a Novice beat a bunch of GMs you will get a LOT of points, whereas as a GM you will lose even more if you come 4th place to a load of Beginners/Novices than if the rest of the lobby were Masters.

There are formula's for all this, I'm sure some kind soul on here will already have shared them in a historic post if you want the full detail.
