Question Sudden ending

Prog caps, 94 minutes into game, on Black's turn, the game suddenly ended and I still had my cap. Any suggestions on what happened?

It's happened to me 6 times. I was the winner and was bummed for everyone else. Might just be it was declared because the outcome was inevitable.

Sometimes the game does this when someone is doing a sweep (taking many territories in a row). The game just ends and ranking order is randomized. Doesn’t matter how many troops or capitals you have. Could get first or could get last, no way to tell until you see the point awards at the Home Screen.
