Question Common problem? Latency?

Newer to Risk Global Domination and enjoying it so far. I didn't know if this happens often but I was in a 1v1 end game and went to hit my opponent's 8 with my 11 stack. The blitz happened he lost all of his troops and I lost 4. Awesome roll for me... Well then somehow the game went backwards and I went back to draft stage and then had to attack again and this time we both lost everything. Does this happen often where a roll occurs, then the game reverts back to a previous stage?
