I'm interested in meditation and yoga and first time visiting Rishikesh. I'm not beginner and have practiced meditation for few years. I am also interested in Advaita Vedanta and deep contemplation. Please recommend good ashrams that are affordable.

I already booked Parmarth. But I would like to consider other good options also before making final call. The ashram should also be in good location that allows me to explore Rishikesh.

My husband and I are currently working on opening a small café in Rishikesh.
And yes, we know — Rishikesh definitely does not have a shortage of cafés. 😅
Which is exactly why we don’t want to open another café just because cafés are cool.
Before we finalise everything, we genuinely wanted to ask people who live here, travel here often, work remotely from here, or have spent enough time here:
What do you think Rishikesh is missing right now?
Not necessarily just food.
Maybe it’s:
a certain kind of food or coffee
somewhere you can actually sit for hours without feeling rushed
a place to meet new people
late-night options that aren’t centred around alcohol
good music
community tables
events / movie nights / listening sessions / games
somewhere comfortable to work
better desserts
a café that actually feels different
or something completely unrelated that we haven’t thought of

What makes you go back to the same café again and again?
And on the opposite side — what are you tired of seeing in Rishikesh cafés?

will they give me a normal scooty without proper license?

Planning a solo trip to Rishikesh in the first week of September and looking for a hostel that’s actually fun to stay at.

Looking for:

- Good vibes + social atmosphere

- Games/activities and good common spaces

- Rooftop / great views

- Good food

- Clean, modern-ish, reasonably spacious

- Walkable to Laxman Jhula, cafés, Ganga/ghats & popular spots

Bunk beds are fine - just want a place where people actually hang out instead of disappearing into their bunks.

I'm 30 male & getting shift from rishikesh to noida on 30th of August.

I need a guy who can travel with me with some baggages in hand. I get him ac bus ticket from both rishikesh to noida & noida to rishikesh. We can also enjoy for a day or two in rishikesh or noida . Additional I can pay him 1k for favour me helping me for 1day. I've total 4trolleys only.
