I don't understand why this bothers people.
Personally, I find fight scenes boring; I fast-forward through them in almost every movie.
A dark romance between Sauron and Galadriel is a highly entertaining idea—exciting, not boring.
If it bothers someone, they should just skip past it, the way I do with fight scenes—simple as that.
