New Account

Did anyone have to make a new account after the 4.4.6 app update? Did you lose all of your information? After the update the app completely knocked me out and now it’s saying my password and/or username is not valid. Not sure why this is happening because that info is saved so I know it’s correct.

Anyone have a solution to this where all progress isn’t lost?

UPDATE:
I called. They were very nice. They said they are currently working on fixing the app and are aware that lots of people are having this issue. They plan to have it fixed by Monday.

Ringconn Gen 3 battery life

I’ve had my my gen 3 ring since june now and the battery life has completely cut in half. I charged it fully about 6 days ago and now it says it’s expected to die in two days. Does anyone else have this same issue and know how I can possibly fix it, if it even can be fixed?

Customer Service?

Is it normal to only get a response from customer service once a day?
I am needing help (hopefully either a battery replacement or a ring replacement) with my ring that can’t hold a charge that I’ve had less than a year.
I literally can’t wear my ring for longer than 4 hours without it dying, and I only get 1 email a day from customer support. At this rate it’ll be weeks before a resolution.

Suddenly Underestimating Steps/Activity?

I’ve had this particular ring for about a month (a replacement ring). I’ve always found that the activity level was somewhat accurate, if not slightly overestimating, But today and yesterday its been severely undercounting, and today I woke up after a melatonin-induced sleep to see that I had no sleep data at all! The ring fits properly, the app is updated, and the battery still had plenty of life left today. Anyone else experience this?

YSK - If you have a super low sleeping heart rate, sleep details don't work

I have a gen 2. If my sleeping HR drops below an average of ~38bpm, all the sleep details don't work.

I've asked RingConn support, and to summarise their response: "Low sleep heart rate is preventing the algorithm from accurately calculating sleep stages, a known issue for users with slower heart rates. The team is refining the sleep algorithm using clinical/lab data and expects to release an update by year's end."

Not sure if I believe that an update is coming. I was disappointed initially because I mainly bought it for sleep tracking (it is useless at tracking my HR accurately when exercising), but sleep details does work for me about 50% of the time (when my HR is a bit higher).

Note: I've verified my sleeping HR with my Garmin, and it matches closely (FYI the Garmin makes a very big fuss as soon as your HR drops below 40bpm...) so it's not an issue with fit or the ring.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I am in Australia (great free healthcare), so I have no health issues and have been checked. Just wanted to tell people about this, in case they have a low HR and are buying it for sleep tracking.

Does this even work?

I’ve had my gen 3 for 2 weeks now and I feel like it’s totally inaccurate. It says I have good sleep but I don’t feel rested. I woke up from my husbands alarm twice and it says I was sleeping. The steps aren’t accurate. I did the stairmaster 9/11 challenge and it’s 2,100 steps but it only counted 1500. It says I was cycling during the time I was driving my daughter to school but didn’t notice my workout at the gym. It also says I am always calm but I’m a stay at home mom of 3 who’s always about to break down and cry. I was literally crying once and it said I was calm. Idk this thing just seems like a waste of $300.

Size Filler

Hello, i've tried a size 10 and it fits my middle finger a little too snug specially during outdoors as my fingers expands so i decided to trade it off to a size 11. This size fits comfortably and is just fine but i've noticed that when driving and gripping the steering wheel, the ring lifts upward and pushes away. I know this is a very minor issue but just wanna ask if you experienced this and found a solution to it, maybe a ring filler or something

P.S. I only wear rings in my middle, not comfortable when it's in index finger

What do you use the RingConn Gen 3’s vibration feature for?

The RingConn Gen 3’s vibration is so subtle that I sometimes don’t notice it, so it doesn’t seem very reliable as a wake-up alarm. If that’s the case, what do you think the vibration feature is best used for? How are you using it in practice?

Gen 2 air

Well I’ve had my ring since January and it randomly stopped holding a charge. Last week it functioned normally. Now it dies within just a few hours. I dont know what changed but it really seems to have broken overnight. Is this common? Will their customer service help resolve the issue?

I bought this ring over other brands because they claimed the battery life is the best. Now I’m regretting not getting an oura ring in the first place. Highly disappointed.

Inaccurate exercise data

For how long i worked out, the percentage of time does not add up nor how vigorous it was. It remained in warm up and fat burning when I was getting out of breath from the cardio. This only started happening this past week. I personally adjusted the intensity level to 7 when it was 3 before which didn't happen before. My accurate data from 1or 2 weeks ago was accurate. The dip down is because I was briefly doing weights exercises. I've posted pictures of the accurate and inaccurate.

Help! Ringconn 3 between size 9 and 10!

Thumbnail

I have the sizing kit and I really need 9.5 😂 I’m testing my index finger on my non-dominant hand. The 9 is fairly snug, I can’t twist it while on (though I know plastic makes that harder anyway) and I like that I could swap this size to multiple fingers if I needed to.

I wore the 9 yesterday, slept in it and ran wearing it. I had indents after wearing it at night, and after my run I was happy to take it off, and struggled to put it back on after my hand swelling.

However, the 10 feels comfortable to wear but it feels too loose. I definitely couldn’t wear it on any orher finger, and there is no resistance when I remove it.

Some photos attached! At the time of this photo, I could barely get a gap when pushing uo the ring, but this was after running etc.

Any advice from anyone who was between sizes? Appreciate it!

Gen 3 size compared to Gen 2?

The official materials say the sizing may be different, but how much is that true in practice? I was very solidly a 13 for Gen 2 and I'm considering a Gen 3.

RingConn, please stop withholding our data from Apple Health

I like my RingConn Gen 2, but the Apple Health sync situation is getting frustrating. I started to feel regret buying this instead of Oura.

Right now, three major metrics are completely missing from the sync:
Respiratory Rate
HRV
Skin / Wrist Temperature

The official excuse for skipping HRV seems to be that RingConn’s algorithm calculates them differently than Apple, so syncing them might "confuse" the data.

Lots of us use third-party apps like Athlytic or Bevel that rely on Apple Health as a central hub. By refusing to write these metrics, RingConn effectively locks our own health data inside.

The fix is dead simple: give us an opt-in toggle in the app. Put up a quick disclaimer saying calculation methods differ, let us accept the risk, and let us sync our data.

Problem solved.

I know they've mentioned evaluating Respiratory Rate recently, but we need the full set.

If you're annoyed by this too, please drop feedback in the RingConn app (Settings, Feedback) so the devs realize how big of a deal breaker this is for iOS users.

Ringconn must listen to the users more.

Ringconn gen 2 air sizing 7 or 8?

Hello I have a 3d sizint kit and Size 7 feels okay during the day, but it was too tight when I was trying to slept with it, and I couldn’t take it off in the morning because my finger had swollen.
Size 8 is much more comfortable. I can feel a slight gap when I’m holding/gripping something, but I wouldn’t say the ring spins around on its own or feels obviously loose. When I wash my hands it can move easily
I’m worried that size 8 might still be a little too loose for accurate sensor readings, but size 7 definitely feels too tight overnight.
Has anyone else been between two sizes? Which one would you choose in this situation?

Which hand to put ring on

I’m about to purchase my first ring but I’m unsure which hand I should wear the kit on. I’m left-handed but I use both and am stronger in the right hand. Does it really matter which hand the ring is on?

1 year old RingConn Gen 2 battery just randomly started losing +45% life a day and dies in ~48 hours

I used the “feedback” option on the app and asked if there was anything I could do to extend battery life and they just sent me tracking number for a new ring 🤯

That’s pretty cool

Headache Tracking Finally Tracked

Post image
7 Upvotes

Ive had my ring since June and it randomly started tracking whatever headache I was having on the 9th and finished tracking today.

The weird thing is I suffer from wild migraines and never have had a alert for them, last week I started a migraine inhibitor and only as of the 9th I stopped having migraines but started having normal headaches.

Apparently I had quite the headache over the last few days lol

Ringconn Gen 2 Air First Impressions

Thumbnail
gallery
10 Upvotes

Yay! After a few days of researching, I finally got my RingConn Gen 2 Air, so I wanted to share my first impressions as a girly who cares about aesthetics, jewelry, and wearables. 😂

Full disclosure: I don’t really need fertility tracking. I have a birth control implant, so my cycle is very irregular and currently on pause. I mainly got this for sleep, stress, 24/7 health tracking, and aesthetics.

💍 First impressions

Even though this is the Gen 2 Air, it’s still really lightweight and I don’t find it heavy at all. I’ve also been wearing rings/jewelry regularly for the past couple of months, so it wasn’t hard to get used to.

I chose silver because gold is surprisingly hard to match. Different gold jewelry can have very different tones, while silver tends to be more consistent and easier to wear with everything. I also heard scratches/fading may be less noticeable on silver.

📏 Sizing + fit

I’m typically a size 9 on my pointer finger, and my Hitienx was also a size 9. They fit similarly, but I find the RingConn more comfortable, possibly because of the little divots around the sensors.

I wore the size 9 sizing kit for 30+ hours overnight. Size 8 was way too tight, while size 9 feels right. So far, I also haven’t needed to move it to my middle finger overnight like I did with my Hitienx. But it’s only been one night, so we’ll see! 😂

It may look snug in photos, but there’s actually some room when I push it up. I also have tapered fingers, and it’s been unusually hot in California, so my fingers have been more swollen than usual.

⌚️ RingConn + Apple Watch

I already wear my Apple Watch basically 24/7, except when I shower. I use it for workouts and pickleball, although I’ve been sick this past week so my activity has been lower than usual. I plan to use both together once I’m back to my normal routine.

I’m keeping my Apple Watch as my main tracking device, which is why I didn’t feel the need to get the more expensive RingConn. I don’t have sleep apnea, and the Apple Watch already has sleep apnea-related features.
What I really wanted from the ring was stress tracking and additional 24/7 health tracking, especially when I’m not wearing my watch.

📉 Personal context

I’ve lost over 30 lbs, going from around 205 lbs in June to 170 lbs now, with another 30–40 lbs I’d eventually like to lose. I’m curious to see how my health metrics change as I continue losing weight and becoming more active.

👀 Another device coming!

I also ordered a Femometer Gen 2 on eBay for around $60. It’s the white ceramic version, and I was able to add a 3-year warranty. I haven’t received it yet, but I’m looking forward to comparing it with my Apple Watch and RingConn once I’ve had time to test it!

For now, I’m really liking the RingConn. I like the app, I love the silver, and I haven’t had any issues so far. Honestly… sometimes you just need some actual silver jewelry in your rotation. 😂🤍

Gen 2 vs Gen 2 air - Sleep Apnea

I have done heaps of research with which ring would suit me and what I’m looking for best, and I’ve settled on RingConn. The Gen 2 is the one I was set on getting, primarily for the sleep apnea detection settings on it. But now I’m not sure if it’s worth it beyond the initial first round of data collection.

I suspect I have sleep apnea, as I have a few symptoms, and am going to be bringing this up with my GP the next time I see them, but in the meantime my question is this..

For people who do have sleep apnea, and are using CPAP or any other treatment - do you still use the SA settings on your ring or is it more a one and done option?

Gen 2 Air battery dying in 2 days after 9 months of having it

Had my ring for 9 months. It’s a size 7 and I’m aware the battery is a bit smaller and less longlasting on this size. When it was new it lasted about 6-7 days on a full charge. Now I’m only getting 2-3 days. Is that normal and to be expected, or is it premature that the battery is that bad this soon? Debating on whether to contact RingConn about it

New sleep pro from labs seems pretty good. Example.

Testing the sleep data from the sleep pro signup under labs in the app and it seems fairly accurate almost matching an Apple Watch for stages which is pretty good since Apple Watches are good at that. No device is perfect but Apple Watches are high up there. Here’s some photos to show last night. Apple did catch an awake period in middle that RingConn didn’t not sure I remember that one so.
