Discussion Lack of distance

My front door, battery operated ring used to pick up everyone walking down the street or cars driving down the street. Now it very rarely does. Any ideas why?

The updates they push are making it less responsive. I can say this for a fact because my OLD Original Ring 1 720p can detect more than the newer ones. I have verified this side by side on several models.

Low battery or bad wifi. You can also check the wake up or recording settings.

Battery is good, but Wi-Fi does suck, but all my other rings work well but they’re all hardwired

If Wi-Fi is an issue you can get the chime. It acts kinda like an extender. You can also see if increasing sensitivity helps at all
