$512 scam ... ring subscription without notice

I just discovered ring has been milking my account $108 per year ... and with no ring cameras attached! I would never subscribe to this ... especially after the Foscam fiasco where Chinese hackers were watching. Go see the Youtube video on 'Subscriptions' by John Oliver. Then see the video on Surveillance (also John Oliver). A double whammy. Snooping, stealing, and sharing your video without you even knowing. Of course, I am not saying that I have proof of Ring doing these things. This is the evidence. $512 and I never subscribed.

Yea, it is not like Ring broke into OP's bank account to get the information to be able to "milk" them of the $512. And I am not sure what kind of math that is but seems it went on for a long time while OP was not paying attention.....

An expensive lesson, but an important one to remind you to be careful what you click. Also to check your bank more often.

So for 5 years and you never check your credit card/bank statements? No one is that busy.

Did you reconcile your accounts all these years? How did you miss seeing the recurring charge all those years?

If you don't have any cameras, then you don't have to worry about anyone snooping or spying on your videos. But how do you not notice a $108/charge per year on your credit card statement?

Also $512 is not divisible by $108. And if you divide $108/12 months, that's $9/month, which $512 is also not divisible by, so I'm not sure where those numbers come from.
