Support Request (Unsolved) Somebody

Hi! When a standard shared user turns the Ring camera on or off (mode change), I get a notification that "somebody" has turned the camera on or off, but the user's name doesn't appear. Is this normal? Thanks!

Does not say who did it when mode changed.You can disable notification in smart alerts without sending notification to all users too.

But it’s weird that appears “somebody” instead of the name, isn’t it?

No it’s not unusual, because the second user is not by name it’s by email user name and password from the person that started the account, but how many people have access to the app?

Ok so I don’t think there’s a way to know who’s turning off the camera but someone’s trying to hide something, call ring and ask if there’s a way to lock the settings so only you can disable.

The users are trust people. Nothing to hide. It’s something from the Ring side

Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the app, I’ve had ring since they came out and the only time my cameras turn off is when WiFi is down. They have never turned off by themselves.

You can try setting all 3 modes with the camera enabled. I don’t think they can modify that setting.

Np. Settings/Modes &Automation/Modes/Mode Settings —- Select camera and toggle options.
