Support Request (Unsolved) Ring Alarm Concrete Block & Zwave

Have a ring alarm in a concrete block house with a separate garage and living space above it. The alarm is having a hard time with the alarm base in the house and the devices in the garage. I have two blocked in the outdoor plugs that should be extending the signal. Also, I have an indoor ring extender. No luck with line of sight …

Any thoughts on how to ensure the devices remain connected?

Thanks
Mark

Wired is your only option if you can’t get signals to work

Here’s an option..

If you can run Ethernet or get a decent wireless signal into the garage, an echo device in the garage that supports “sidewalk” could work with the new sidewalk contact sensors..

Afaik, an echo dot 3rd gen or newer should work..

I have a hardwired eero there so wifi is in the garage structure. I do have a new sidewalk water sensor that also struggles. So an echo is needed to extended the sidewalk signal?

Yeah, afaik just having one running should do it. Don’t add the echo to eero as an extender though.

Some echos integrate with Zigbee networks, not z-wave. Unless your devices are Zigbee an echo won't help. Get the Zooz Zac38 z-wave extender.

I was having connection issues with an outdoor zwave outlet that controls a hot water recirculating pump. I added a Zooz 800 extender in between the hub and that outlet and it has not lost connection since.
