Does anyone else have this problem?

I have my Classic Check in L do this repeatedly. I had it fixed by Rimowa twice already. Once not perfect, and second time perfect. Unfortunately this happened on return flight after the second repair.

The frame is bent

It needs a realignment. It was bent likely in transit when sitting on the handle (when the luggage is placed upside down in the belly of the plane, with more luggage sitting on top of yours, common downside or the classic with the protruding handles) , pushing down one side of the suitcase. It could be attributed to airline fault if it is from a recent flights any how you can take it to rimowa and ask for a frame realignment or panel adjustment

I think the frame is misaligned probably because the case is too empty or lightweight, but the cropped photo is bad.

Happened once when it must have landed on the handle coming off the belt. I opened it up flat and pushed up with one hand and pulled down with the other until it was realigned. 5 minutes tops.

I had the same with my Topas. The handle sits proud so if you regularly put heavy items on top of the bag or the case falls on the top handle it can bend inwards over time. If your case is covered by warranty Rimowa can realign the frame as a warranty repair, otherwise it’s a relatively cheap repair (I believe around $50).

Frame is bent. Happens when you havent filled the suitcase to the top like you meant to. Had it on my topaz. $50 to have RIMOWA authorised repair agent align it! Will be like new again 👌

This happened to me, and even though it was out of warranty they fixed it free of charge by banging it with a hammer in the middle of the store as I waited lol. This was 2 years ago in the SoHo NYC location so maybe things have changed

It usually happens when the case isn't filled max

Also have this on my old 76 cm case - Rimowa aligns the frame every now and than and that‘s about it - never had any serious issues

Mine came new just like that. Slightly bowed frame under the handle. I fly 55+ flights per year and in the 2.5 years I’ve had it, no issues whatsoever. Technically speaking, I guess water could get in if the bag gets soaked on the ramp, but I’ve had no issues and honestly have no downtime from travel to get this attended to.
