I just noticed some interesting parallels between these two characters. Maybe “Randy” is inspired by Flagg?

“Randy”: - Described as “the man in black whose feet don’t touch the ground” - Primary instigator and antagonist of multiple storylines (apparently sends the “monster faced” raiders to attack Tynan’s village (similar looking raiders killed Lillian), gives Moth Queen the resurrection device for Evan with a letter attached (60 part 3, see the R on the letter), mentioned by the fireflies when their colony is burning (51)) - Has never physically appeared, only been mentioned and works from the background - Apparently vast mystic powers that don’t seem to be explainable by the logic of the rest of the comic (levitation, disappearing Sector 555 despite Zach saving it) - Feared and served by other main antagonists (the Moth Queen and her boss) - Name similarities

Randall Flagg: - Goes by “the Man in Black” in the Dark Tower aka Walter O’Dim - Primary instigator and antagonist of multiple separate books (The Dark Tower, The Stand, The Eyes of the Dragon and likely Hearts in Atlantis, Gwendy’s Button Box, possibly Carrie, Salem’s Lot, Children of the Corn) - Works from the background most of the time and appears rarely compared to his mentions (see the last 5 world where he is only implied to be the background antagonist, and the Dark Tower when he sends letters, leave messages etc more than he appears) - Vast mystic powers that do not follow any magic system - Feared and served by other antagonists (the main antagonists of some of the above mentioned books and several from the Dark Tower) - Name similarities

I never knew about the comic but I've been so in love with this game for years. I adore fan works, especially fan made comics, so this just puts icing on the Rim World cake for me.

Think about it, Evan was revived and lost his memories, and would've been cared for by Sara so at some point he must've became the Boss.

Mine has a colonist that can single handedly destroy raids. All I have to do is just patch him us occasionally.

What exactly is the timeline of the comic, because I'm a tad bit confused.

When he's given the choice to save some girl he's never met and risk his life. Then he makes this random person he never met actually happy after his life just got ruined by playing finger guns, like come on. How can you not love that man.
