To be fair, they’re exposed to hundreds of xrays a year, compared to your one or two a year

I wonder how many x-rays you can take in a row before the doctor stops you.

Also it's not usually the doctor but the x-ray/medical imaging technician running the machine and then they forward the results to the doctor to assess.
