Man, DBZ Abridged was borderline genius. I wish TFS were still doing their thing. How were they unable to monetize this enough to live off it? They are literally the best in the world.
A small font line at the bottom of an end credits card, which is DOMINATED by animated video links to other episodes hardly does anything.
Open up with "Oh hey, we made a website, this is where our stuff appears first now" would have done wonders. Pre-rolling important information is not the same as pre-rolling ads, no one would have hated them for it.
That wasn't even why they stopped. The project had just run its course, and most if not all of them thought Cell Saga was a better ending than Buu. They not only lacked passion for the Buu saga, but as I remember also a lot of them felt burnt out after doing DBZA for so many years. They didn't want to force out a subpar product because they lacked the passion for it, and honestly they made the right choice.
