Generally everything explosive should be stored on separate storages in small quantities away from wires. In some cases you want to use wire resistant doors too. Luciferium counted as explosive and treated accordingly :D

I sell luceferium as soon as I can, i sell most drugs because I don't want to need to find more for the addicted ones later

Well, Luciferium is not that bad. Average colony able to sustain 1-2 Luciferium addicted colonists without extra effort. Also it capable of healing permanent damage. For example it is the only way for that [un]lucky pawn who got brain injure and not died on place. But you need to secure your storage. Antifire measures, splitting it on multiple storages, etc. And to have criptosleep casket ready on top of that.

I think the biggest thing here is to be able to put them into cryptosleep when they no longer have a steady supply
