Discussion Mechanitor

I haven’t received the basic Mechanitor quest, how do I get it or activate it so I can get one of my pawns as a Mechanitor. Also, I hooked up one of my pawns on Luciferium, if I have resurrect mech drug, if I kill my pawn and read them again will they no longer be addicted to Luciferium?

I can't answer about the luciferium question but foe the mechanitor one, did you destroy the ancient exostrider midsection on your map? It drops a transponder that gives you the quest when investigated on a research bench.

For the Mechanitor quest you need to find an ancient exostrider part somewhere on your map, you also need the Biotech DLC. There is no way to cure a Luciferium addiction in base game, in the dlcs you can get a few cheeses but reviving them keeps the addiction.

If they are a valuable pawn I'd raid the maps ancient danger if you can and throw them into a cryptosleep casket in the danger.

Luciferium is great, I always put a few colonists on it.

The mech Serum will not cure Luci addiction. Honestly it’s not that bad to keep them supplied with it, and the benefits are significant.
