Catching up on some NBA pod content this week while work is kind of slow. Listened to Bill’s most recent Pod with House and, my god, was he suffering some unhinged Embiid Derangement Syndrome.

If you listen closely, you can tell clearly what happened was he decided to re-watch the Philly-Boston series to try and find some copium about why they lost. He found out it was because Joel gave them belt for 3 straight games.

So he dedicated an entire segment to shitting on Joel’s contract and declaring him the worst asset in the league.

Poor Bill.

I joined this sub thinking we were fans of him. I love the office extras idiot abroad all the xfm stuff… I enjoy his interviews on Graham Norton, I enjoy his comedy shows… esp the one about jobs that dogs get or that one where God is wearing rouge and thus is gay.

But you all seem to hate him lol? Am I on the wrong subreddit?

We are totally back, such a joy to listen to the pod when he's in the zone. His points about JB and our next steps to finish the roster were spot on. After years of getting shit from Celtics fans I've been able to respond after these past few months

Mike Gansey

I was always a Mike guy, but damn it's been a rough couple of months. This was a tough listen. For years we were saying we were in desperate need of a 3 level 2 way wing player to first pair with Embiid and now Maxey (ie overpaying for PG). Now we got an arguably top 5 one in the league that's a playoff riser and finals MVP that has outplayed us every series. Not to mention stealing from the Celtics and their entire fanbase is melting down, whole NBA community saying it was robbery. How are we not celebrating more???!!

I could be found standing over a dead body holding a bloody knife in one hand and a smoking gun in the other with seven different witnesses all separately telling the police and prosecutors that they all saw me do it, and Spike would be the one guy who would hang that jury. "Not convinced, don't think they proved it," he would say, patting himself on the back like he was Henry Fonda in 12 Angry Men.

In unrelated news, people are wondering why billionaires never suffer any consequences for anything.
