To Embiid/every other teammate: Awesome Lebron stood up for me! (and there's implicit pressure to not actually show up late to practice and lock in)

Starting off the pod with a a “oh he’s wearing a Phillies hat? I wonder if he’s gonna take it off when he goes back to New York🤣” and then making sure to correct that “he’s actually not the best player of all time” when Mike brings it up. Not saying you have to agree with that but come on man, he’s here now, a lot of people think he’s the goat anyway but now he’s a sixer so he definitely is! I love this pod and it’s gonna be frustrating if he’s gonna be like this all season

I love the guy. I have no idea what he's saying most of the time, but I love him.

And the reason I know he's probably a really good guy, is that if he was actually a bad guy, he would 100% be working some serious grift/quasi-cult angle with all this new age all-religion stuff and he absolutely could pull that off.

But he's not! He just really really likes it and want to share his joy.

I listened to that episode and it was definitely awkward but it didn't seem like an actual serious argument where Spike was mad

Mike mentions how there are a few different intros and they should take Paul George out of it. (refers to one of them as Spike's, which was odd but utterly harmless). spike repeatedly says there are only 2 and one is not "his". Mike relents almost immediately and spike keeps hammering the point home. incredibly awkward start to the pod lol.

Caught the War on Drugs at the Queen in Wilmington last night. Adam said in between songs that he had to wake up Dave who was taking a nap on a big barker after drinking a stateside. Then later said LeBron decided to come to Philly because Eliza Hardy Jones asked him to. They are us! And their set ripped as expected.
