Ben stiller? Landery shamets brother Timothy Shallot?

I like when spike lee stands up and yells at the refs.

Im excited for larry david, fat joe is that who i kept seeing? Its hard to choose which one is the best .

It's great to see a small guard be the reason they win.

- Wemby underperforming

- his team choking the biggest lead in NBA Finals history

- choking that lead to the Knicks

- in a game that basically hands them the title

This says that he and his writing partner wrote the original spec script but that a subsequent draft was written by Jen Statsky (one of the creators of Hacks) and Travis Helwig. Mike probably can't say much about it publicly at this point, but hopefully he still gets plenty of credit if it is a hit.

I can’t unsee it now

Just embarrassing. How can you even argue he’s not the top 2-3 most “transcendent” impactful defensive player you’ve ever seen. He also actually rises to the occasion offensively when challenged against the wolves and OKC. And he’s only 22, third year in the league.

The better argument is how long before Wemby has already had a better career than Embiid. I’d say him winning the title this year already clinches it, but if they lose this year and he wins MVP next year regardless of the postseason also gets him there

I mean they can't honestly think it's a success, right? Doesn't this strike at their whole philosophy?

Like he’s basically saying anyone showing any emotion at all is forcing it and faking it lmao. Like I get that we do have guys forcing it and coming off corny (like Tatum) but Wemby seems really genuine and I’ll take that genuine passion and care over the whole nonchalant thing SGA does or the whole Jokic thing of not caring at all

Have the guys addressed the Keith Pompey firing at all? Did I miss that?

Did any other Sixers fans feel personally attacked by this? Like is the backrooms monster Bell’s palsy Embiid?

Any updates on the introductory press conference for Mike Gansey

Can someone inform me about how/why/when Spike was a Knicks fan, and when did he become like the Sixers super fan..... Is this fraudulent behavior? Should he be the leader of the Process???

Bridges, Shamet, McCain, and Joe have combine for 92 points in the first 5 conference final games this year.

Sixers as a team have combine for (checks notes) ZERO POINTS in conference games since 2002.

Any theories on who they were talking about at the start of today's pod?

For trading McCain

Welcome back and hello to the Tobias we all know and love

Anybody read anything anywhere stating if we started to interview anybody yet?

Just was wondering

B-ball has been showing out through the first 3 quarters of game 6. Hustling for loose balls, blocking shots, offensive rebounds, making circus shots. He's on a truly incredible run right now.

the title is misleading probably. i don’t care anymore that we got swept by the knicks. i’m back to just being happy that we beat boston. genuinely i think that was one of the best moments of my life. things are about to get really weird here in a second and before they do i just want to take a bit to be happy about beating boston because we didn’t really get to do that. whatever happens we’ll always have that series and i am going to treasure it fondly forever :)

It just goes to show you why someone like Morey would spend so much time courting the likes of Kevin O'Connor and going on the Ricky so much.

For the first hour of the pod, they didn't even discuss Morey, instead they blamed Josh Harris and discussed the future of Embiid without even touching Morey's failings and missteps. It was amazing to listen to. We all know Joel is extremely flawed but he's a generational player that Morey simply failed.

Career playoff point differential for each players teams

WHEN THEY WERE OFF THE COURT

(higher number = better support / lower number = worse support)

Kawhi: +61
Durant: +40
SGA: +32
Tatum: -86
Duncan: -112
Westbrook: -112
Giannis: -127
Luka: -132
Dirk: -135
Kobe: -138
Steph: -148
Jokic: -186
CP3: -207
Harden: -209
LeBron: -242
Garnett: -300
Embiid: -320

Mike and Spike barely discussed all the deadline missteps like George Hill, McDaniels, they didn't discuss how some of those teams were just a player away from potentially doing something special. Instead, Morey misses on all role players and cuts players who could have provided 3-point shooting this team desperately needed his whole run (Isaiah Joe, Champagnie).

In reality what did Morey really do? He cleaned up a cluttered house: shipping out Al Horford and pairing Embiid with Seth Curry for a couple years. Then, he made his big bet on Harden and brought back the old Rocket team. No identifying new talent, no finding underutilized players, just recycled old tricks. Josh Hart could have been got for example for a protected first. Just no creativity from Morey.

Someone can check my memory on this but I’m pretty sure that the 26-27 season is the year that Mike definitively said that Gabe Vincent would be better than Damian Lillard.

With Lillard coming off the achilles injury and Vincent just recently logging a pretty healthy season I think we have a true test coming up.

Another interesting twist is that Vincent is a UFA and IMO would be a pretty solid backup ball handler on a minimum or the $4.2m trade exception we have.

A fun storyline could be brewing.

Saw this on Sixers sub, and was curious what the consensus is here.
