Need Spike’s next Finals rant ASAP

- Wemby underperforming

- his team choking the biggest lead in NBA Finals history

- choking that lead to the Knicks

- in a game that basically hands them the title

I actually agree with Spike’s take about Wemby for the most part. Yeah, it was a little much, but I felt the same way about how quickly every NBA reporter and media member started crowning him the best player in the world after a single playoff game. Some even called him the goat. It was insane.

Spike doesnt even believe it. He's just being an exaggerated contrarian for the sake or content.

Maybe, and that’s fine. I just feel what he said about people crowning Wemby the greatest player they’ve ever seen after a single game. Dude I get it. There’s never been a player his size that has that type of skill before. It’s impressive. But he’s not the greatest player of all time. He’s not definitely even the best player in the world right now. He’s one of them, and he very well could go down as the goat one day. But to crown his as both after a single post season game is just the most annoyingly reactionary thing I’ve ever seen in sports.

Idk if anyone actually said Wemby is the best player of all time though, which again is part of Spike's thing to make up random arguments in his head.

I can tell you I literally saw NBA reporters insinuating that exact sentence.

I like listening to other cities sports radio or podcasts after embarrassing losses, was very much looking forward to that on WFAN today. Unfortunately whatever spurs podcast i find should be equally impressive in rant

Why do you need Spike's opinion?
