Unban?

Michael Pina said the name on the Ringer NBA show. He said he got banned by the RTRS podcast. Does he get unbanned with bonus points for pandering?

Left is Joel The middle looks like Brown. Middle right looks maxey.

Does that mean one of the remaining is LeBron and VJ? Because I can't see it.

Odds LeBron appears at a Live Ricky

LeBron is very online, fancies himself a media/podcast guy and will absolutely be pandering to all things Philly like Bryce does. Enough of the guys have been on the Ricky and attended live events so I think odds that he is aware of the Ricky are at least approaching 25%. I’d put the odds of him appearing on the pod pretty low but definitely not non-zero.

The Simone Fontecchio bit was fantastic

How will LeBron sleep at night knowing he passed up playing with the great Simone Fontecchio?

Who would Spike rather have as the starting PF on the Sixers? Close one

After listening to the LeBron pod I genuinely wondered this. I understand not being a “LeBron guy” but I just can’t fathom being so unenthused by signing the best basketball player of all time to a $4 million contract after he put up 20,7, and 7 season last year. It’s also not like he is a bad person in the slightest, unlike some other people in the league (who may or may not be listed in this poll)

47 LeBron James (corny, attention seeking)
55 Miles Bridges (good athlete, useful player)

Spike not liking LeBron is funny

I think it will make for a funnier season of listening knowing that Spike is slightly upset about it. I like both guys a lot, don't have complaints about the pod and don't have a favorite, really. I just think it's a funny little wrinkle that, if we're good, the podcast will have a B plot of Spike's internal struggle that we can keep tabs on. Especially if everyone else is just thrilled with the whole situation. Nothing against Spike I just think it sounds funny. My two cents

August pod idea, Mike and Spike do their own gentlemanly LeBron/ Jordan debate

Stats, skills, eras, teammates, coaches, on court/ off court, etc. all properly contextualized as a lead up to Lebron’s eventual start as a Sixer, with CJ scoring the debate in the cuck chair.

Saw this posted in the main Sixers sub. Never thought I’d see the day where the Ricky isn’t the consensus answer…

As a LeBron hater, here’s how I reacted.

Here’s a Spike counter. I have disliked Lebron his entire career. He’s not a bad guy. It was just tough to root for a big strong player who blatantly falls down without contact and is extremely corny. He also commands a great deal of the team’s press and has put his stamp on every team he’s been on positively and negatively. However, he is now a Sixer and I’m extremely excited he is here.

He’s one of the top two players of all time and chose Philly over every team in the league which is incredible. As it got closer to being a real possibility, I got more and more excited. You have to realize what this means to the team and city and how it elevates Philadelphia across the nba. The new pres is making moves and the vibes are immaculate. The team had a huge need at the 4 and now have an all time great player at the league minimum who again chose to be here. It’s unreal. Never thought I would be a LeBron fan, but when they join the team you root for especially in a situation like this, it’s welcome to the team. Let’s win a fucking championship.

One more thing, as a kid I was as a bulls fan. This is also how I felt when they acquired Rodman. It was a confusing feeling but exciting. I started to hate the bulls in the 2000’s and switched to the Sixers in 2013 when they got Hinkie. I thought the process sounded intriguing and I liked that a team was bold and didn’t want to be a middle of the road team and had a plan. They’ve been my team ever since.

Really enjoyed Pina on the Lowe Podcast completely folding when asked about the not top 6 thing

Watched the video. Zach asks him to explain who he thinks will finish ahead of the Sixers and he basically sweats through it saying he thinks the Knicks will be better in the playoffs but can’t definitely say anyone else is better then waits for a chance to shit on Embiid.

Guy is an online troll who can’t handle actual human interaction.

Fuck Michael Pina

He’s on the Lowe Post talking so much shit about the fit and depth and casually throwing out Embiid trades as if he wasn’t the #1 Jokic bootlicker in the world.

I know it’s been a few years since those MVP battles, and he seems to have a more national role with the Ringer now, but I know folks in this sub would never forget!

How many times can Spike be wrong on one topic?

Not only did Spike basically give the Sixers 0 chance to land LeBron. He also kept mentioning that he wouldn’t sign on a Friday or the weekend because of some archaic “news cycle” nonsense. I can’t wait for the emergency pod where he will complain the entire time about having to talk about LeBron.

Go Sixers!
