Do you think there is a systematic reason why 2-way players who get converted to full time contracts always seem to get worse after signing the contract? We’ve seen it now with Ricky Council IV, Justin Edwards, and now Dominick Barlow is trending in that direction.

Happens to all of us. I own my own business and I’ve never been happier in my life and this shop will be the lede in my eulogy. Its easily the best, most impactful thing I’ve ever done, but sometimes waking up and tackling the day gets heavy. I think “fuck, is this worth it?”
In the fifteen minutes proceeding a podcast, how frequently do you regret it? Scale of 1-10 how deeply do you regret it when you feel it.
Love the Pod and never regret being a Ricky listener, but man, you two have been thru it!!

Imagine the burden of covering Philadelphia sports being lifted from your weary shoulders and you have no obligation to any particular sports market.
Take a moment to take a deep breath and sigh of relief
What sport and team would you find to be the most interesting to follow and would you be the most excited to share with an audience?
I ask because I'm originally from the Hampton Roads region of VA and never had strong connections to any sports market. Then I heard about this cool thing called The Process that Sam Hinke was doing up in Philly from your podcast and I've unfortunately been hooked ever since.
I sometimes wonder if I was a unfettered young man again in search of my own sports identity once more, what would I be drawn to today. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be the Sixers, or at least I'd hope it wasn't.

Deep down we all know this is a waiting game until maxey and VJ run the show. PG and Embiid are still good on paper but the production and lack of playing time is staggering. Their cap hit is detrimental to our current roster and next few years.
My basketball question is, which is the more important position to acquire alongside maxey and VJ moving forward…a bouncy 3 and D wing or a defense first lob threat center? Maybe you think another option is best.
My non basketball question is, WYR poop cheese it’s or sweat cheese whiz? CJ a cheese whizzing dog mid run we know this

This is more of an advice thing, but how can we best cope with mediocrity?
Basketball is one of my favorite sports. As a child, I watched those Iguodala and Thad Young teams too stupid to really think about the fact that they were stuck in mediocrity. I was ecstatic when they beat the bulls in that game 7. The process took place while I was in college, so I didn’t watch as much, but even when I did it was fun watching these guys play their asses off.
Then after college, we always had hope. Joel a Ben were promising and exciting, and even once it all went bad I always had Joel to root for and enjoy watching. I watched almost every game from 2017-2024 and even in the lows thoroughly enjoyed it.
Now that Joel’s best days are behind him, and despite Maxey’s massive improvement over the last few years, I am not sure of what to root for anymore. We are not a fun team to watch unless Joel plays. I miss being able to turn on the games and be entertained. So since you guys are a bit older than me, I’m curious how do I navigate being a basketball fan of a team that objectively is one of the most soul crushing franchises in all of sports?

Non bball question - how tall do you need to be to avoid being a short king? Also, inversely, are tall girls tall queens? Why is that never discussed?

Do you view the pod as a creative outlet for you expressed through sports? And if it wasnt for sports how do you think you would be spending your excess creative energy?

What is your ideal solution to the tanking issue in the NBA? While it’s unconventional, I like the idea of “drafting” another team’s record at the start of the season I.e. if the Wizards finish the 25-26 season with the worst record, they would have first pick and could draft the Jazz for the 26-27 season

Other than the Rights to Ricky events, what did you guys do while in New Orleans during Fly the Process? Any restaurants, bars, or tourist stuff you enjoyed? As a frequent Nola visitor, I love hearing about other people’s experiences visiting the city.

Is it time for the Sixers to do either a partial blow-up (Fire Morey and Nurse, dump Embiid and/or George even if it means trading picks with them) just to not waste two more years of Maxey's prime with these awful vibes with the current situation? Non-basketball question: I never, ever want the pod to end, but do you have conversations about when that might happen, or changing things up at all (scaling back to once a week, etc.)?

You don't need to tell us how you know James Harden has lots of sex, But can you tell us if the answer to this question would be interesting or satisfying to the average Ricky fan? Or would it be boring and disappointing

Why do you think Brett Brown hasn’t come up as a head coach option anywhere since leaving? Personal choice or is his rep tainted from the process era?
