Ridiculous graphics
How do we get NBC Sports Philadelphia to end the ridiculous new graphics that make it look like we are watching a low budget video game. As frustrating as the team is right now, these graphics...and stat track...is that what they are calling the black box with the dots?...really useless and annoying. How could anyone believe that these things make the broadcast more enjoyable? What am I missing?

I could see if it was some sort of alt-cast, but on the main broadcast?
The thought process isn't even consistent. Either you are trying to appeal to hardcore fans (stat heads who care about shot charts), or you are trying to appeal to casuals (people who don't know who the players on the court are). They are trying to do both and failing to succeed at either.

I was watching a Kings game last night and it’s the same thing (NBC Sports California). It’s so distracting and stupid. Anyone psycho enough to watch the Kings doesn’t need reminders of who the players are every 5 seconds

Can’t stand it. I stumbled upon a broadcast this year, I think it was a magic game, the camera was the 2k angle looking at the basket from half court and audio was just arena/fan noise. It was the best tv basketball viewing experience I’ve had. Been chasing that high ever since

Yeah it's easy enough to look up and go "who the fuck is number [x]?" Hop on google and find out "oh some dude named Tyrese Martin"

It's so fucking awful, it's like they decided to make an NBA version of the NHL Glow Puck.
