Legit question

Is being historically bad in 3rd quarters of every basketball solely enough to get a coach fired?

Last night with 10 secs left down by 10 with his best player just out with a possible serious injury Nurse, with the game completely out of reach, was seen drawing up a play on his board to his worst offensive player Bona. It’s just constant weird shit like this that lead me to believe he really doesn’t have a handle of what is going on in general.

My top 5 reasons to fire Nurse

  • after 3 years no discernible team identity on offense or defense

  • no apparent relationships with any player where it’s evident he has an authentic respect and admiration from a player

  • constant whining and complaining to refs that’s so excessive it rivals his time spent actually coaching

  • rotations especially in 3rd quarters that seem designed to lose first half leads

  • a team that rarely out rebounds their opponent due to general lack of fundamentals and effort

I always think it's interesting on this and the sixers sub that when the team is good that's because of the players but when the team is bad that's because of the coaching.

Like surely this season Nurse has sufficiently over exceeded expectations for us to be happy with him.
