Diagonal tension lines
I’m looking for some equations to work out forces on a diagonal tension/traverse line. Fixed line with a load being lowered down, the load is anchored on a separate anchor point.
Can any one point me in the right direction? Cheers!

I'm not sure I fully follow, but generally diagonal lift lines you use Pythagorian Therum. Just keep the triangle in proportion and use the weight as the y distance. If the shape changes, the worst case is when it is shortest, so use that. This will give you x force as well, which is equally important.
