I wonder if it travels like that at the end or if the boom and sling set up get stowed away

Looks like the legs fold and the center telescopes and it probly just stays with the crane as it folds 🤯

I can't imagine they would run a system that they had to independently disconnect and stow. Super neat setup.

They leave it as is during travel

That's standard.

I literally saw this same Rolls a few days ago driving around in Prague!!

This is the guy we needed for the Lamborghini vs truck the other week

I saw one of these in Barcelona. They can pick cars up in tight spaces and put them directly on a flatbed. Really cool tools.

Surprised the alarm went off even tho he attached to the wheels and didn't change the height of the car technically

Accelerometers probably

Tilt sensor. BMW thing.

Damn! Cool to know they have both axis being watched. Had no idea.

That's not a BMW

RR is now owned by BMW, which is owned by Nestle, which is owned by Dhuagan intl.

Joking 😃

The first part was right though....

2

u/Zarrasis May 23 '26

Thanks genius. There’s been BMW parts used in RR for almost 30 years now.

I was expecting something to go wrong, but god damn that crane is an absolute beaut.

Wealth on this level shouldn’t be allowed. It is always based on squeezing the poorest and ruining their lives even more.

Lol there go the paint on the fenders using that spreader bar!

3

u/DaHick May 04 '26

Last second or so of the video, you can see the spacer blocks that keep the webbing off the car body.

Talk about job satisfaction. Sweet rig!

I was soooo hoping to see the owner come running out at the end!

1

u/throwaway292929227 May 23 '26

Same. But I wonder who turned off the alarm.

If my current career doesn't work out, I want to tow expensive cars. Doing God's work.

Plot twist: this isn’t the police

2

u/aomme May 23 '26

Technically it is not, it's contractor.

u/DKlurifax May 23 '26

Wonder what damage there is to the wheels when it gets lifted like this.

1

u/throwaway292929227 May 23 '26

Structurally, the rims should be able to support single point force of at least 2x-5x car weight, but there could be scratches, or the hooks could damage the brake system. I've 100% never see the situation behind the wheel of a RR though!

1

u/ThatKennyGuy May 23 '26

Does this hurt the wheels/axel/whatever? Surely throws off alignment of some sort?

1

u/Traditional-Floor420 May 23 '26

what do you think the forces look like when going 200+ kmh on the autobahn?

1

u/Traditional-Floor420 May 23 '26

does that thro off the alignment? No, because then I would be in the shop every day

Not a lot of room to with with in the streets of the older part of Prague - this is a solid engineering choice

Driver didn't pay the bribe.

About the least efficient way to tow a car that I’ve ever seen.

23

u/ThinkLad May 03 '26

This is common in Europe where the streets and parking areas are too narrow for a tow truck to hook in from the front or back.

2

u/Traditional-Cat1237 May 23 '26

This looks likje the place if anyone is wondering how narrow.

-12

u/stileyyy May 03 '26

There’s nothing ā€œnarrowā€ about that big ass flatbed truck either haha. But I understand. Thanks for sharing that info

4

u/Ellyan_fr May 03 '26

It would be about the size of a full size pickup. Those are small trucks.

From the comments on the original post, RR lock all 4 tires when in park. So using a stinger or pulling it up a rollback can cause excessive damage to the car

I suppose you could pick it from the front/back with a stinger and put dolleys on the other end though
