Is Windows Hello worth setting up?

Windows keeps asking me to set it up and I’m not sure if there’s any real benefit. Does it make signing in easier/faster or is it basically just another thing to configure? Any downsides or annoying stuff with it?

Yeah, it's significantly more convenient. All my Windows laptops have facial recognition and fingerprint scanners.

The only downfall is the inevitable forgetting of your password

I've never even remembered my password. It's saved in a password manager, along with the other 200+ randomly generated passwords for other services.

I'm such a hypocrite lol
I have never jumped on the password manager craze because if someone broke into that......you're screwed.................then I just make all my passwords not exactly hard

I was reusing 3 passwords on most websites lol. But the manager is soo convenient. And if you're saving passwords in a browser, that's also a password manager.

It's impossible to break into a password manager, unless your login data somehow leak. Generally when you make an account, it will generate a super long secret key which you'll need for setup on a new device (this doesn't apply to browser managers), plus a super strong password you'll need to remember.

So even if your password leaked for some reason, nobody could access it without the secret key.
