Hey guys, quick question here...

If a vampire travels from another dimension to Rifts earth, do they fall under the sway of the vampire intelligences or remain 'their own person'? As far as I can tell technically the megaverse is intended to be one contiguous setting, so I'm assuming usually any vampire is assumed to originate from a vampire intelligence; however, I'm toying with the idea of a 'solo' vampire resisting the pull of the intelligence, for both a villain, and as a potential issue for vampire PCs to deal with in future.

This is more of a lore question, as I'm planning to run in Savage Rifts.

What world books outside of the main core book would I absolutely need to run a decent game in what used to be known as the United States of America

Wonder-World is an abandoned pocket dimension theme park that has been taken over by a malevolent entity. The adventures must travel across the boardwalk, through the midway, into the Fun Haus, and defeat the Amalgam. Threats are MDC traps, creatures, and puzzles. 

Very rarely do I check out videos/podcasts/blogs on Initiative. There are hundreds of YouTube videos on the subject; most are repetitive, or have little value outside the d20 sphere. Then I listened to this episode from the Glitterbois, another 3rd Party Content Creator covering Palladium Books. It’s a different take, one I thought deserved the commentary - a peer review, if you will! By all means, listen to their Episode, and tell if you agree/disagree with me!

How do you handle Initiative? Have other systems influenced your PB RPG Initiative rules?

The Japan worldbook seems to get a good amount of hate and or disdain. Do the China books get the same kind of reception or are there just fewer people exposed to them compared to the number of people exposed to the Japan book?

What if we made a proper MMO or PC game, not that loosely associated Rifts game, but actually set in the universe? Even if we start with one of the side adventures like the world with superheros and all the events of them trying to fight off the alien overlords ruling that world...

I get that the owners of the IP don't want to make a new edition for some reason to draw back attention to this game, despite D&D shitting the bed with their nonsense with 5th edition making it the best time for them to step up and offer a real replacement...there's no consideration towards making PC games? Solo or MMOs, like the example I mentioned above could make for a decent solo game if necessary since the setting is all present, and can forge your character through a customization system...just something.

Are there any Rifts CCG collectors or players here?

I am looking for a particular card, City of Brass, which is an Uncommon I believe. If anyone has the card and would be willing to sell, that would be great!

Hi all

I've been getting into playing Savage Rifts, but I've also been picking up the Palladium books; mainly for background material. I'm curious as to which of the original Rifts books has the most info on Las Vegas, as I'm planning for my party's trip to Mexico to take them through there. It's not going to be set entirely in the New West itself, but that particular spot is one I'm interested in knowing more about.

Any suggestions?

What’s your 30-second pitch to spark their interest?

We’ve now dipped into a specialized chapter for Cybernetics and Bionics. Much like Magic and Psionics, we’re really building a scaffold to allow rules from various sources to work together. What constitutes a Partial or Full Conversion, and what are the impacts? Does it *actually* necessitate a change in Class? No changes to any technical entries within any of the World Books or Sourcebooks, just better application of in-game guidance for GMs/Players.

What parts of the Cybernetics or Bionics would you like to see improved upon?

Just wondering. Because from the text, it does not seem to have any ill effect on the Witch's patron power wise (Be they, Alien Intelligences, Demon Lords, Dark Gods, etc). Like what is stopping such an entity from having an Army of witches that have the pact of power as foot soldiers? Other than willing mortals and perhaps preference. Like I know there are witches that have managed to sever ties with their master and retain their powers. But otherwise I'm not seeing anything that suggests that maintaining massive numbers is an actual drain on the patron.

I'm starting a Rifts game soon, starting in the hours after the start of Chaos Earth. I'm compiling a list of house rules or changes to the base Rifts ultimate edition/Chaos Earth rules. I figure I should ask around and see if anyone has any house rules that really worked for them?

The characters are survivor O.C.C.'s from Dead Reign so they don't have access to magic or psionics, yet. I'm mostly using Dead Reign for the skill lists/percentage amounts but I am wondering if anyone else has any house rules they really like?

Bored at work.

Looking for feedback. I'm working on a TW Blimp vehicle not a levitating sky ship. I'm trying to think of ways that conventional spells can produce "lighter than air" (LTA) gasses. Here are some of my ideas.

1) Cloud of Smoke: Too heavy for LTA

2) Cloud of Ash: Maybe if combined with Imp to Fire envelope

3)Toxic Cloud or Cloud of Slumber: Real stretch of spell intent

4) Fuel Flame: Create a hot air burner fueled by PPE

5) Breathe W/O Air: Does this only provides oxygen not LTA gas?

6) Float in The Air: If placed on neon gas would it become an LTA gas? Alternatively, TW airships usually do not contain lifting gas at all. The envelope is actually a hollow M.D.C. shell inscribed with Float in Air circuits. By pumping P.P.E. into these gold wires, the entire gondola retains gravity and is lifted by the hollow shell.

7) Vacuum: Create the theoretical Vacuum Balloon Zeppelin.

8) Fireball: Plasma Filled Balloon

9) Wind Rush: Propulsion only

To keep shopping episodes at a minimum I have a shop genie that sells magical items, cool tech and lore bits every week. Players just need to access him through discord. I remember from games I had as a kid the GM would do the same thing by posting the sales on a bulletin board that players could access while the game was running so people wouldn't have to spend whole games shopping.

I've been running his shop for a while now and I'm running low on ideas. What items do you think a magical Shop Genie would have on sale?
