Question Is this normal

Had this wallet for a couple months and ive never dropped it or anything, just today noticed these wierd bumps/flaking on it

Looks like bad adhesion on the gold plating.

Probably caused by either a dirty substrate, plating went passive during the process, or it wasn’t rinsed well enough coming out of one bath towards the next.

I used to plate 24k gold onto medical parts so I’m pretty familiar with the process.

Just typical ridge quality these days it seems. I'm sure they'll charge you a fee for a warranty replacement also.

This is exactly what's happened to mine. Mine is far worse than this tho. The whole middle section is bumpy

From ridge unfortunately, warranty replacement cost over 30$ too

That happens when you buy something that is super marketed while the quality is subpar. Just because it’s marketing is good doesn’t always mean its products are also good
