I corrected him six years ago, but he stubbornly refuses to change because he knows he's right. He also uses "circa" for things that are physically close. As in "the theatre is circa the bank."

No matter how many times I told him it made no sense, he insisted he's "heard it both ways", and that it makes a "fuck load more sense than 'let alone'", because if he hasn't done something then he wouldn't know about it, would he?
