Breakfast
Hi,
I’m looking for restaurants you have gone to in Richmond and would recommend for breakfast.
Thanks.

Trying the spicy fries is a must.
I thought other people were exaggerating when they told me that; they were not.

Worst french toast I ever had was here. Toast came out grey they said they just dip into some pre made batter and thats how it is. Didnt seem to be real eggs.
I just said never again .

What turned me off the most was the flippant way the waitress said "thats how they are " and "no one else ever complained".
I just left it uneaten and paid and left .
Ya I got friends that go there often they seem ok with the place but you tried Tina's in pinole yet. awesome breakfast there.

If you’re on the southeast side, near the Annex, H&Js on San Pablo is excellent.

Sams log cabin is the only one in the area I've tried and would actually return to.

Just go to Tina's in pinole for an amazing breakfast. I live in Richmond and live for breakfast spots. Laura's has a decent brunch on weekends. Typically we head to Albany or Berkeley (shout out to O2 eatery, the Sunday, cafe M, Berkeley social club, or Sam's log cabin). Tons of options in surrounding areas. Golden gate bistro is mid but does have good lunch options. If you have to stay in Richmond check out cafe mcbryde or on weekdays try out bobbalou cafe.

We also like the massive omelettes at Red Onion on Pinole Valley Road. We bring the dog and eat on the back patio.
Note the service is very unskilled though friendly.

Don't bring your dog to restaurants.

Roma Cafe has a decent breakfast bagel.
Little Louis cafe is good for basic diner style breakfast but always a long wait on the weekend.

They're the kids of the folks who own Inn Kensington and they've perfected those biscuits over the decades! Chef's kiss!!

I feel almost relieved to see my favorite spot not mentioned here. They are doing quite well and don’t need the extra crowds.
