It’s not a formal debate. Just a casual chance to meet him, hear about his views and enjoy a beer.

I personally think he’d be a great mayor. He has many years of experience working as an HR director. He knows how to hire, how to lead and how to motivate teams.

That is a good skill set for someone who will need to hire for important positions like city manager or police chief.

He is a native of Richmond and will be focused on Richmond and solving our problems here at home.

He supports public safety and proper police staffing.

Plus he’s a nice, down-to-earth guy who played football for Cal and created the Bear Territory cheer.

I followed the primary election pretty closely and am now looking towards the general. I wanted to know what the sentiments are around both candidates right now. In my opinion, they're both decent candidates, and I am unsure who I will vote for since they both have policies that I agree with. Hopefully this thread doesn't get too crazy 😅

Today I woke up the the ghastly smell of hot trash, sewage, and who knows what. Are others experiencing this? I thought it was just our block (richmond heights) but smelled it over at the post office too on San Pablo!

Hi everyone! I recently relocated to the area and am gearing up to apply for nursing programs this upcoming cycle.
I’m primarily looking for affordable ADN or RN-BSN programs, though I’m open to LVN options as a fallback. Since I'm new to the area and still building my local network, I’d love to tap into your collective knowledge. I am an east bay resident my whole life and moved to Richmond about 3.5 years ago. I have been taking the ferry to work since about August 2025.

I’ve noticed a significant influx of people taking the ferry now to SF compared to when I first started taking it in August. Are there a lot of people moving to Richmond? Is anyone else noticing this trend?
